Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. I've just been a bit busy with lots of things. School for one. I have three projects with a bit of light homework, so that takes the cake of my life. But second is these goddamn television shows. 24, Heroes, Prison Break.......motherfuck, all in one day. And I have to see them asap. It's like reading a book, a book that takes 20-24 weeks to finish.
As the title suggests, I've grown quite fond of World of Warcraft or as most people say , WoW. There is just something about completing mindless fetch quests and looking like a badass that people crave. I'm part of that group because I simply can't just play for one hour. The only thing that bothers me is that I haven't played with my friends yet. I'm only a lv.11 paladin blood mage, so I'm still far from where I'm supposed to be at. It's cool playing solo but would be much more fun with a group of people.
I finally replaced my PSP faceplate. The only thing I'm diasppointed is that it fits about 98% correctly. It just had trouble fitting on with the R button correctly so at the moment, pressing the R button is awkward. Also, it is about a couple millimeters too tall. So it is a very tight fit. I wish Sony would sell original faceplates. I could buy an original one off of ebay, but the seller is in Hong Kong so I doubt its legit.
Ah, I can't wait to graduate, land a decent job, and play my life away.

so what's new mr. mumbles?
Well, I'm back in college for the final stretch. It seems like everything is shapely up nicely. I didn't get a D in Managerial Accounting like it said. The teacher had made a data error. I actually got a C which isn't something to brag about, but it is still loads better than a D. As for the current school semester, it's going to be a hard time, but I know this is the only chance I have so I have to do my best. I have six classes left, and I cannot wait to be done with it all.
As for gaming, I've found that the World of Warcraft is a fantastic world. I knew that my addiction to Final Fantasy XI crippled my grades (I didn't go to classes because I was busy killing monsters in order to get items for my sidejob), but I know where my limits are this time. WoW is very forgiving compared to FFXI in almost every aspect. I know it is $15 per month, but I'm only going to stay online as long as the school semester since I'm really missing playing video games. PSP is there, but I just like using it for what it is made for. Portable uses. In between classes, bus rides, and so on. So no Portable Ops/Metal Gear Acid 2 for now. And I don't have any PC games at the moment, so World of Warcraft was my option.
Besides gaming, I've just been enjoying watching HD DVD movies. They are just so crisp and clear. I know I had beaten down HD DVD for not being Blu-Ray, but I don't care anymore. I love both formats for delivering such beautiful visuals. I have Fearless, Batman Begins, Serenity and will soon have The Last Samurai and V for Vendetta.
Technology-wise, I recently purchased a new 350GB SATA-II Seagate hdd and an extra stick of 1GB or RAM. My computer is going to be a major powerhouse now. Now if only I had the money to buy those brand new CPUs. =)
I've been talking with my brother. He had agreat time in the Philippines. I wish I was there also since three weeks being close to alone was excruciating. I didn't even play that many video games. I just watched TV most of the time. I should make it a priority to save money to go there this Christmas since I will be done with college and all. It'll make a great gift to myself.
As for my brother, I feel sad for him since he sounds so depressed here. I find it a bit funny that the moment he arrived in the US, his psoriasis flared up again. I think even his psoriasis loved the Philippines. lol. I wonder if it was possible for him to live there in the Philippines. He'll most likely find the confidence to lose weight, find a job, have lots of sex........shit, by the time you know it, all his diseases will be gone.
There is one thing I laughed at. Daniel told me of a situation where Lola was confronted by one of my cousins, J.L. He told her, "Go back to your room bitch." Right there, I couldn't stop laughing. I wouldn't have the conscience to say anything like that to my grandmother.
I wish I was there to witness that, lol.

movies over break
I've watched a decent amount of movies over break. So here are my short reviews.
Apocalypto
What a fantastic movie. The chase scenes were sweet, and I was anticipating how the main character was going to kill his captors.
The Good Shepherd
It's a good movie, but the structure is just a bit off. It keeps on going back and forth between 1940 something and 1960 something. It would have been better off being linear.
Flags of Our Fathers
I actually liked this movie. It has that ridiculous "am I a good person?" story, but I liked how that one character was an ass from beginning to end. That scene with the kamikazes was brutal. Even more brutal that Apocalypto.
