I've been listening to this Final Fantasy Black Mages album. Pretty cool stuff. They converted some songs from a couple of Final Fantasy games to rock.
I love the music of the Phantom of the Opera so I decided to "get" it. I got both versions, the London cast recording, and the movie soundtrack. I really stop listening to Emmy Rossum's beautiful voice (I'm obsessed people).
Tracks that stand out:
- Point of No Return
- All I Ask of You
- Angel of Music
- Track Down This Murderer

Numa Numa dance
You know if I was any fatter, I would look exactly like him. I can't stop listening to this damn song, its annoying and catchy at the same time.

emmy rossum
I can't stop listening to Emmy Rossum's beautiful voice. I just can't. Her voice is the definition of beauty. Take for instance, her voice in "Point of No Return"......just unbelivable.
She is just so beautiful.
She is just so beautiful.
closer
Wow, this was a weird movie. It felt like a black comedy, but at some points of the film, it felt like a drama. I couldn't decide which. The movie has a crapload of memorable quotes. For example, (this isn't word for word, just from the top of my head):
How's his cum?
Like yours, but sweeter.
But seriously, the movie displays that truth hurts and our emotions cannot be held back. These four people go back and forth undecided on whom they want to be with. The problem I see in this film is the time frame of certain scenes. Sometimes it would be years, maybe days, months. It's hard to keep track.
One other thing that the film implies is that sex changes everything. Once sex is included in a conversation or a relationship, everything changes. And what is sex? Is sex love or is sex sex? A person wouldn't know until they had a taste of it themselves.

project: snowblind's single player campaign beaten
It took me only one day to beat the single player missions in this game. Short like Devil May Cry 2, but this game is much better. The action is fast paced and the atmosphere really sucks you in.
At least this game will last me longer with the online multiplayer.
Next game: Devil May Cry 3

shadow of rome beaten
I finally beat Shadow of Rome. Tough game, but I got through it. The only thing I disliked about this game is the stealth portion. In my opinion, it was just a waste of time.

devil may cry 3
Oh man, this game is crazy! I defeated the first boss and got a pair or nunchucks, NUNCHUCKS!
There are even new cool moves to pull off such as gunning an enemy on the ground then kicking him hard across the room.
The only thing I don't like in this game is the difficulty. Even on normal, it is hard to pass one section without continuing.
Anyways, I just tried it out for an hour. Shadow of Rome was frustrating me as well....there is this battle where I have to save three women hostages while keeping them from barbarians. Very very hard.

freaking out
It was awesome to see a Gamefly envelope in the mail. When I opened the envelope though, I freaked out. It was Xenosaga II, not Shadow of Rome. Shadow of Rome was shipped two days before Xenosaga II. This is not good, not good at all. I hope it comes this week, maybe tomorrow at least.
I hope it comes.....I don't want to be charged for a game I never received.

laptop problems
**I tried Firefox and it doesn't work. Firefox sucks with in browser wmv playing. It's the in browser player of wmp in general. Windows Media Player sucks. Microsoft can go fuck itself. And I don't like winamp, they can go get fucked by Microsoft.
It seems like my computer browsers aren't working properly especially with windows media player. Files that play in-browser wmp, streaming .asx files work, but not .wmv, do not want to play. I even try to upate the player, but it can't seem to access the server. Weird stuff.
I can only view those files through VLC player which only some of them play.

last life in the universe
Hmmm......this is one great movie, one of the best. It's one of those movies where two opposite people meet under random circumstances and find comfort in each other. However, the ending isn't happy happy, joy joy.
I felt sad for Kenji since he can't meet with Noi anymore, and it was not his fault either. Kenji has OCD which is cool since you get to watch a house filled with garbage get cleaned up. He even uses his own chopsticks in restaurants and in other people's houses. And Noi's house, damn that is a big house. It was funny to hear references to other movies that the actors participated in. Asano from the Ichi the Killer poster and Riki from those yakuza movies. The girl is very cute who gets high most of the time in the film. There is this awesome scene where the girl is baked as Kenji is cleaning up the house.
There is one scene I did not get. I do not know why he was seeing the sister towards the middle of the movie, someone needs to explain that to me. Other than that, I loved the movie.
Next movie: Closer

the machinist
Holy shit, Christian Bale IS an actor. If he was any thinner, he wouldn't exist. I was pretty shocked at the ending since I could not formulate what was going on. There are tons of misdirections in the film and that is what turned me upside down.
Anyways, it was a good film. I just hated the music. Too old school for me.

phantom of the opera
This movie is good, but not. It's great to hear some of the songs since I remember some of them from an audio cd and from middle school. Most critics were right when they said that this movie does not translate well to movie standards. There were some moments which made no sense at all if you think movie-wise, but as a musical, it is still beautiful to hear.
There are a couple things that bothered me. The obvious is Gerard Butler. I'm sorry dude, but you can't sing for shit. The other thing is that the score still uses that damn synthesizer. They could have just opted just for symphonic sounds. My last frustration is who the fuck does she love? The phantom or Raoul? She kept on going back and forth, back and forth.........pick one already!
The high point of the film is, oh wow, Emmy Rossum. She is beautiful and can sing as well. Just amazing.

trekkies
I thought this was an okay documentary on Star Trek fanatics. I'm really shocked how that kid made those 3d generated scenes with that computer.......I wanna do that!
bullet in the head
If you are a fan of John Woo movies, then you should probably watch this. It's too corny and boring in the first 30 minutes, but it gets better towards the middle and the end.
The gunfights in this movie are a sight to see with squibs, or whatever they're called, going off everywhere, debris all over the place, it is just pure action.
I enjoyed the scene in the nightclub......the corpses just keep on piling up.
Anyways, its a good watch.
Next movie: Trekkies, oh boy......this should be entertaining.

omg
As I type this post, my neighbor is having sex. I could hear the girl scream and moan or them banging against the wall. I think this is the closest I'll ever get to sex. LOL.

constantine
I just came back from watching Constantine.
My impressions? Despite what critics said, I think it's an awesome movie. The action was great, the story was cool, and everything else was pretty much solid. Oh yeah, stay after the credits. There is a small scene tacked on. I liked it, much better than Alexander, but what movie, like Constantine, isn't?

is alexander great?
I finally finished watching Alexander. You know, its an okay film, its definitely not the worst. The main problem with this film is that it is too convoluted. First you have the story of how Alexander rose and fell, but in between you have the conspiracy plot, the story of him thinking about his father, the story of his mother......so on and so on.
I was quite bored, but never slept, with certain scenes because it dragged some times. I also did not like the fact that the movie omitted certain segments like when his father gets assassinated. They show it 2 hours in the movie where it makes no sense to put the scene. I mean they could have just shown the assassination way before Alexander kills one of his own men. I think the movie is just badly edited. With proper editing, the movie could have flowed better.
Next movie: Bullet in the Head then maybe Trekkies.

computer wins
I've just decided that if I get a job this summer, I'll save up for a new desktop computer instead of that psp. Having a new, sweet computer is just so much better than having a psp that plays games, movies, and music. I could do all three plus more with a computer. That is if I get a job.

gladiator soundtrack
Ever since I saw that commercial for Gladiator on TNT, I have been listening to the soundtrack. I really enjoy listening to "Am I Not Merciful?". You could sense the trust being lost, loyalty being shed, and the end of things to come.
I might have eaten something rotten. I think it was the mashed potatoes or maybe the eggs I had today. I'm never having those eggs...they tasted different as well. I think they use that awful egg substitute crap in those cartons. I don't know why they don't use real eggs.

assault on precinct 13
This was an awesome action movie. It never slowed down which is often the case in most movies. Some moments were also unexpected. I think this is one of a few American action movies to come out in a while......or maybe the only one I think.

happy valentines day
Yes, the day that couples get together and suck each other dry......literally. Or if you prefer the sex thing, I'm alright with that. Of course, I can't partake in any of this since I don't, or ever will, have a girlfriend. At least I have my video games!!!
My god that is sad. Don't you think? Videogames over girls. I would prefer the latter of course, but I don't really know how to, you know, socialize with them. I was never thought the basics of talking to a strange girl.
Anyways, I have a bunch of homework, movies, and games to finish.
Homework consists of computer programs, reading articles about the myth of Christianity, or reading an article about the origins of thought.
I still haven't finished Alexander. I did watch about 30 minutes. It's already a disaster. There are a bunch of scenes that make no sense or they have no point to his rise to power. There is this one scene where he calms a wild horse down. What the hell does that mean? Can he talk to the animals? Is he linked to the animal psyche? Will it mean anything later? Probably not. However, these are only assumptions. But I heard the movie throughout is horrible, so I'll see if this is true. There is one thing I cringed on. Colin Farrell plays a 18-19 year old......give me a break. He can past 25 and up but not for a teenager.
Happy Valentines again to those who cherish their special somebody.

that's cool
I think its cool to see Blade II on TNT. It feels like I just watched this movie in the theatres a year or two ago. Weird that it is already on television.
mercenaries beaten
Last night, I disgraced my "gamer" name and cheated. YES, I cheated. I put on infinite ammo and invincibility cheat. I beat the game with them, but it didn't feel right so this morning I played the last mission without cheats.
It was hard, my friends, but I soon noticed a strategy that I didn't come up last night. I even beat the last mission easily with it. THE FREAKING HELICOPTER. What I forgot is that if I cleared out an area I would be seen as a North Korean if I took their chopper and I would avoid their AA (Anti-Air) missles. It worked flawlessly. I got General Song and received $100,000,000. Awesome.
My next game (before Xenosaga II) is: Shadow Hearts

oceans twelve, american dad
I watched Oceans Twelve. That movie deserves ONE star (out of four). This movie exhibits poor moviemaking and horrible screenwriting. The actors are having a blast making this movie, but the audience will not. This movie is nothing more for people who adore these actors. There were some scenes that have no relevance to the story whatsoever. The movie didn't even showcase a heist unlike the first enjoyable movie. I think the only person who was serious was Catherine Zeta Jones and probably the bad guy from Brotherhood of the Wolf. Any boy was she hot......short hair PERFECTION. This movie wasn't going anywhere.
American Dad. That was freakin' hilarious. It's the same type of comedy like Family Guy and that is why I like it. The first episode is going to be shown on Cartoon Network this sunday at 11:30 eastern time. Watch it if you like Family Guy. There was one scene where the dad is going to steal a purse so that his son will be the hero, but he gets carried away from the role and the son never catches him. I couldn't stop laughing.

oh shit
I fucked up my ps2 hard drive so about half my games were erased (ESPN Basketball was erased....oh man). They were games I think I finished, but I have no idea. It was erased because I was experimenting with another frontend program. I shouldn't have done that. It seems like it is a better program though because it found those partition errors within the hard drive. I guess it was for the better.

damn right
"While I'll always prefer the original, there's no denying that The Grudge is a solid remake. What's truly sad is that a remake for a film made in 2003 needed to be done at all. If American audiences were a little more open-minded and willing to actually read subtitles, the original film could have been released here instead of making a new version just for American audiences."

why oh why
In one of my classes today, a girl came in with a student in the class to talk to another student. Oh man, was she pretty. She even has a great smile and the way she talks....oh man. Why can't I be friends with women like this? She was absolutely beautiful.
Anyways...
I don't know why I want to, but I really want to make another home made movie. I really want to make a technically well made movie with a standard camera, plus a movie with me not in it.

okay weekend.....just wish it was longer
It was a good weekend. I got a tiny bit of homework finished and I beat Ratchet and Clank. I had this game in my collection for a while and I had to finish it. I have only a couple of games to finish (with the exception of Manhunt, Shinobi, and Nightshade.....too frustrating). Here is my playlist:
- Mercenaries
- X-Men: Legends
- Shadow Hearts: Covenant
- Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
- Ratchet and Clank: Up Your Arsenal
- Nano Breaker
- Tenchu: Fatal Shadows
It's not final yet because I recently subscribed to Gamefly.com again. I rented old games that I couldn't get anywhere else. I rented the original Shadow Hearts because I think I need to play this first before tackling on the sequel. I even rented Ratchet and Clank: Going Commando. It's weird because I have the second sequel, Up Your Arsenal, but not Going Commando. I rented some other old games that I haven't had the chance to experience yet.
Anyways, as for Ratchet and Clank. I thought it was a great game. When I first played it long ago, I thought it looked plain and dull looking, but after playing the entire game from beginning to finish (can you believe that......it took me 3 days to beat this game), the game grew on me. The characters, the graphics, the sounds, the gameplay....they were all implemented very well. The only thing that frustrated me is the checkpoint system. I would have to restart, in some cases, from the very beginning of the level if I died. This grew to frustration during the last sequence in the game against Derg, the final boss. I would have to restart from his first form every time I died, but with my bolt usage wasted from the previous try. It took me several game loads to defeat him, but it was worth it.
Another great thing is that I won $20 off my friend from beating him 3 times in ESPN Basketball 2005. I was the Rockets, my favorite team in the game. I like the combination of Yao and McGrady because T-Mac has remarkable offense and Yao Ming has amazing defense. But it didn't matter. In my first and third game, I was struggling because Chris Webber, Mike Bibby, and Brad Miller were kicking my ass. In the first game, I thought I would lose because the Kings were making outrageous three pointers near the half court line. I came through in the end because Ward, Johnson, and McGrady were landing threes at the last quarter. The third game was freaking intense because I was losing in the first half by 10-15 points. McGrady couldn't shoot as with the rest of the team. But in the fourth quarter, Yao Ming, my saviour, stole the ball from Bibby and made a jumper, giving me a one point lead with 16 seconds to go. I increased my defenses (I don't want to lose $20) and Bibby had to force his shot. It didn't go in, and I won the game. It was an awesome game.

I got a good amount of money by selling both final fantasy xi w/ hard drive and the used ps2. $150. Good eh?
Too bad it is not going to the PSP. But I want it so bad.

psp pricing
The date and price is now set for the Sony PSP. It is going to be released March 24 here with the price tag of $249.99. That really hurts me. At the moment, I had enough money for the assumed price of $189.99, but now that does not seem likely. I guess I have to wait. I was really looking forward to playing Lumines on PSP, testing out mp3's, seeing how the thing looks and plays...but now I have to wait. Fuck.
