Sorry about the lack of posts. My laptop was under serious sleep, and I barely blog on other computers. Christmas was pretty fun I guess. I had a blast playing Scene-It again. Jack Daniels......that was messed up. I got money I do not deserve and Harry Potter books minus the last one. Awesome that I got that. I was about to buy it during finals week. It's amazing how the size of each book gets bigger and bigger.
And holy shit, HDTV content is freaking sweet. My dad recently bought a HDTV tuner and it looks amazing. Too bad the content is pretty slim right now, but I can't wait to see the episode of Lost during the start of the new year. It's like the things I download but from the TV.
As for gaming, I'm still trying to beat Hard in Guitar Hero and trying to finish Two Thrones. I had to transfer the ps2 to the basement because the S-Video connection didn't look that great on the LCD. It was like watching TV intoxicated. So fuck that shit. I would rather play using an RF switch. At least, I can begin to start on DDR again.

i'm a happy camper
Yes, I'm finally home again. It's good to be home after three weeks without my precious Playstation 2. We watched King Kong on Friday. While it does have some flaws with pacing and length, I really enjoyed it. It really reminded me of Jurassic Park, one of my favorite films. And Naomi Watts, she is really a beautiful woman. It is a bit weird to see Adrian Brody. I kept on shouting in my head, "Play the piano!"
Anyways, I've been playing Guitar Hero, Resident Evil 4, and Ratchet: Deadlocked. They're pretty fun games. I finally defeated Medium, but I'm currently trying to get five stars on each song before I move on since Hard seems a bit much. Resident Evil 4 brings back scary moments. I opened one of the crates thinking there was an item inside. I tried to pick up the item, then jumped in my seat as the snake attacked Leon. Goddammit. Capcom still has some good scares. As for Ratchet: Deadlocked, it's a fun game. I hope to finish it by the end of the week that is if the pain isn't too great after my surgery tomorrow.
Yeah, my surgery tomorrow. I never got any major surgery before unless you think cutting off skin is surgery. I won't go into details as people might barf thinking about it. I'm going to get four teeth removed. Two because I have to sooner or later and two because they are going to cause serious problems sooner or later. I don't know what is going to happen tomorrow. I might become a bumbling, drooling idiot once I come out of that office. I hope I don't piss my pants or take a shit while I'm drugged.

three down, one more to go
Yes, I took three finals today, and yes, I failed all of them. Thanks to my lame ass of a brain. Video games is the only thing that sticks to my brain for some reason, but when I took that out of the equation, it kind of cleared things up. I got some studying done, but I do not think it was enough. Since I was sick Saturday, I could only cram on Sunday rather than study for the two days. Damn, sad thing is, that was the only time I ever drank.
Tomorrow is my Data Communications final which, yes, I will fail. My friend gave me a couple of pointers that might help me on the test and I wish I could have done the same for him. The damn teacher pulls a good one and puts some idiotic questions that only he and some nerds will answer. Bullshit.
I have no freaking idea what I plan to do for the next couple of days since I will be done with finals tomorrow. Watch movies? Play arcade games? They bore me. PS2!!!! I'M ALMOST HOME!!!
Of course, movies will be sufficient. I have yet to watch the delightfully tasty Havoc starring American beauty Anne Hathaway. I also need to watch a perfect rip of Tom Yum Goong and watch S.P.L. again with english subtitles. Harry Potter sounds good to watch again. So is The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Goddammit......when will it end?? It pains me to do it over and over again, yet I can't stop. It's an addiction you see. An addiction that will lead me to my demise. Oh yes, it will. I really need to stop.

that's not cool
The Simpsons is just getting worse and their recent episode says it. It even hit a entire new low for them as they criticized Family Guy and American Dad for plagiarizing the Simpsons. They are not as playful as Family Guy take on the Simpons (like when Homer hits the door and Peter asks, "Who is that?"). Boo Simpsons. Boo.
sigaw
This movie is something. Technically video wise, it looks much better than most films that come out of that country. Audio wise, they still can't get post processing done right. It's a bit too long. I kept on shouting, "OPEN THE GODDAMN DOOR YOU PUSSY!!!" This movie is full of cliches that I can't do away with. I don't know why the characters walk so slowly when they do something that is of importance. I even laughed when the girlfriend got beat up by the invisible policeman. I even laughed when the caretaker retells what happens because as you know, they need somebody to spell it out for the characters. What I truly didn't like was the direction of the film. It showed scenes from the past and molded them with the present so it confused the viewer of when that is happening. I would have liked it if it was like Silent Hill 4 when the character would just view the action from the peephole or like in the movie he would only hear the noises. But they still had to place those scenes from the past into the present.......fucking retarded I tell you.
I also hated the fact that the person who encoded it put the film in 2.35:1 ratio. Thank god for VLC because I could adjust it to 1.85.
Anyways, pinoy films are getting better. They just need to tell the story better without resorting to film cliches.
On other movie news, I can't stop watching that fight scene in SPL between the assassin and Donnie Yen. It's made so well especially with the music. At the climax of the fight, the upbeat music starts to play and gets louder and louder as the fight continues and ends with a choir boy singing. It sort of says to the viewer, "I beat you motherfucker." I finally got some english subs to go with the movie so this time this week, I have to watch the movie again.

no more hard liquor for me
I am seriously going to stop drinking hard liquor. Today was not a good day to spend in bed especially with finals in two days, but it had to be done. I drank a crapload of vodka mixed with mountain dew and vodka mixed with coca cola. Too much in fact. The bottle it was in was one of those 1-liter bottles and I drank 90%. That was the dumbest thing I could have done. I puked around six times yesterday night and around four times this morning.
This will freak you out so, if you are queasy, don't read anymore. Here is what my vomit looked like. When I first threw up, I could still see the liquor. But soon after that, I was mostly just throwing up stomach acid as I did not eat anything after 5pm. It was just yellow fucking acid. Then I tried to drink water which was not a good idea when you have a hangover it seems. I even threw up the water. My trash can was quarter full of vomit.
So yeah, my first vomiting experience from liquor and my first hangover. Yuck. Just give me Mountain Dew and I'll be happy or maybe those drinks with only 5% alcohol.

:(
Today is a bad day, so I don't want to talk about it. Anyways, I watched "Be With You". These Japanese, they know how to make movies. I was a bit shocked at the ending and it makes perfect sense. That was a freaking great movie. Lifted my spirits for a few hours before I began thinking about what happened.

imagining that I rock in guitar hero
So, I heard and read that the guitar finally arrived at the house. I'm a bit relieved since I did not receive any email regarding shipping of the product. It's cool that Felice and my mom tried it out, now I know that it works. I can't wait to rock out on that thing. Yeah, I played the game with Jorge's guitar, but I really want to play every song and become awesome at it.
I was walking by the dorm rooms and saw one of my floor mates rocking out on what looked like Hard/Expert mode. I giggled a bit, but then told myself, "I'll probably look like that when I play."
Oh man did it snow today. Fuck. Class ended like normal today so nothing special happened. Well one thing non-school related got me excited: MAME. Multiple Arcade Machine Emulator. It's one of the most awesome things I have ever seen. Final Fight, Alien Versus Predator, X-Men, Neo-geo games, The Simpsons, Run and Gun, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Back in Time, Robocop (which doesn't look cool anymore)........all in arcade form!!!! It's amazing how small these games are. For example, Run and Gun is only 7MB!!! 7 Fucking MB. There are textures in games that take up that much space......yet they are not that fun. I'm having a blast playing these games especially with Run and Gun because it brings back so much good memories. Unfortunately, Run and Gun 2 doesn't work which in my memory, was damn awesome. Even Robocop. I still remember playing that game in a Lowes movie theater. It was so cool, but now it looks okay. But holy shit, Final Fight. No more stupid SNES tinny sounds. It's all arcade now!!!

umm...kay
Today was okay. I rushed my ass off to class because I decided to sleep in for 30 more minutes. I went to class as usual. My economics teacher went over review for Friday's test and well as the final on Monday. During the class, I was writing notes for my paper that was due at noon. For some odd reason, I lost track of time yesterday and didn't get to finish it. I had four pages done, and I just needed one page more. I finally got the chance to type it up then rush over to the art office to hand it in. I then had time to take a shower, dress up for my interview, watch a bit of TV, then go to the mock interview. It went okay. So now, I'm still stressed because I have a paper due tomorrow and a test Friday.
I really can't wait for this to end.
43.7% finished of Sigaw. Boy, I can't wait.

good & bad news
I got some good news today. I don't have to do a presentation for my 375 class. But the paper is still due. The bad news is that I figured out how many finals I'll be taking. Since two of my classes don't have finals, I have four. Three of them are on Monday. 7:50am/10:00am/3:10pm. Motherfucker. Of course, this means that I only have finals on Monday and Tuesday leaving the rest of the week to me. I guess it's okay but that means some heavy studying. Some really heavy studying.
Doesn't that guy in my image header look evil? It's because he is.

sorry
I'm sorry about that last post. It was a really bad day. I got close to nothing done and Family Guy/American Dad weren't new. It sucked.
But today, holy shit. One of my teachers is gone for the rest of the week so that means that I will only have one class Wednesday and Friday. The best news is that there will be no final for the class. HOORAY!! It's only this paper that I have been working on. Then when I went to the food court, I won a free prize. I got the hat since I don't have one. Cool eh?

yeah
I watched a shitload of movies over the weekend. I tried to watch "Blood Rain", but my DVD-ROM drive couldn't read the disc as it stopped a quarter way in. Here is the list of movies I watched.
-Samaria
-Sha Po Lang aka S.P.L
-Tale of Cinema
-Marrying the Mafia
-Pornostar
Going to watch "Crying Fist" now. I freakin' hope that works. I watched movies because I really don't want to work on my project. I really don't.
So yeah. I started to download that Filipino movie "Sigaw". Wow, me actually downloading a movie made by pinoys. That's a first. It's not Japanese, Korean, English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Thai.....its a freakin' Tagalog movie. It's a good thing that I don't need English subs. I'm also downloading "Tom Yum Goong". It's a screener, but its good enough. It doesn't look like the VCD that was released, but the group that released it did a messed up job. It's a 25 fps movie encoded to 23 so yeah, the picture is fucked up.
Did anybody else see that anti-piracy ad from Arnold and Jackie Chan? I laughed my ass off. But hear me world, I will no longer download DVD-rips of movies that are coming out on DVD. Just TV and games. :)

so what's new?
Nothing much really. I finally bought a guitar for Guitar Hero, so Felice and Daniel should be having fun next week while I rot here studying for tests, finals, and doing projects.
It's cool though. I bought it using my Christmas present from one of my aunts. $50 for a game controller. Can you imagine that? That free shipping expired, and plus, I didn't want that super saver shipping. Compared to Amazon's saver shipping, it sounds off. 3-day shipping sounds fine to me. Daniel's first impressions of the guitar were bad. He thought he would actually strum the guitar. If that is the case, strum the real thing. It's a game. DUH.
Got some new goodies during my return back at school: a DVD of The Myth, Lost, South Park (I couldn't stop laughing when I saw the credits), A Sound of Thunder, The Frighteners, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Lord of War, and Prison Break (goddamn Daniel.....waste my bandwidth for something you watched).
Lost.....HOLY SHIT. Too bad that new reel didn't show much. I wonder why they removed it from the original? And what the fuck is happnening? That black horse? Is that Kate's old boyfriend or her father? It's getting weirder on that island, and I like it.
Harry Potter......jesus I hate this franchise. And you want to know why? It is because for some reason, I WANT TO READ THE BOOKS. When I first saw the movies, I was like "bah, Harry Potter, that's kids stuff." As the movies progressed, I started to get interested in the characters (and no, I do not like the girl sexually like some people.....that's just sick). However, you have to love that accent. Like my brother, I love foreign accents. It's so damn sexy (and please don't say because that girl has an accent that I think that she is hot.....that's just sick). Anyways, I'm ranting about this franchise. Main thing is I WANT TO READ THE BOOKS. The movies are awesome. I wonder how good the books are. The more I think about it, the more I think the Harry Potter books resemble many people's early childhood days. For example, when Harry and Ron were sitting down when everybody is dancing, I related to that. Sorry ranting again. Now the question is, how cheap can I get the books at?
Okay enough of Harry Potter. Now to the next movie: A Sound of Thunder. Like I said to my brother on the phone, this is one of those movies you would see as a Sci-Fi Original. It has horrendous special effects ever to grace the movie screen especially in this age of CG innovation. It's like they took a couple of students from an art school and had them make the effects. From the trailer, the effects didn't look that bad, but once you see the movie, you'll laugh (and you will). The story is not that bad, but this is still a time travel movie. Time Travel movies do not work......ever. Donnie Darko is a bit of different as it introduces new dimensions, but time travel in A Sound of Thunder does not work since its decription of time travel is shit. Bad movie. Avoid this at ALL costs unless you are drunk and see this on Sci-Fi channel.
Lord of War. Good movie. Scared of the black man. Bilbo died. Hot woman. Hot women in military gear with hot bodies. Bullets. Blood. Didn't like the main character, but it was a nice change. Cocaine is bad. Don't try it. I know I won't.
South Park. This show gets better every time. Watch it.

three more
So, its only two weeks left with one week of finals. So close. Don't fail me now brain. I finally got enough money for a guitar for Guitar Hero. Oh yeah. I also watched Lord of War (which I shouldn't have done). Cool movie. That black leader scares me. Can somebody kill me now?

so can I have some more laziness?
Hmmm.....it's already been five days and I've only completed one of my assignments. Not a good sign, but considering that I still have some time left, I'm still in a safe spot.
All I've been doing lately is playing ps2 and watching movies on our new LCD television. I think the quality is amazing especially from a distance. I'm been tinkering with the settings and made the video quality a bit better even though I'm still craving to tweak it some more. There is this setting that makes the dark levels dark rather than light. It's cool but it makes certain scenes too dark while making some absolutely amazing.
I've been playing True Crime (which I've beaten) and King Kong. King Kong is pretty cool since it feels like one of those thrill rides in Universal Studios. True Crime: New York City is a much better game than the Los Angeles version. It has more focus story wise and some pretty sweet missions. For example, you have to drive this car really fast in order for a woman to get an orgasm. Cool eh?

...again
It's just another Monday......the Monday before THANKSGIVING BREAK!!!! Too bad I have some projects to do over break, but it shouldn't be that bad. I can't wait to see the new telelvision in the living room, and I do not care if it sucks juicy sour patch kids (and you thought I would type balls......sicko). We have a new tv that displays 720p and in widescreen. I can't wait to see Shadow of the Colossus on that.
Microsoft's Xbox 360 is almost out, and like before, I don't want one. Sure I bought an Xbox, but the reason I bought that was because I had the money. Stupid reason I know, but I didn't know what to spend my money on. Microsoft is going to hype the 360 during launch and everything is going to fall sooner or later. They didn't utilize the hard drive other than storing game saves, music, and tiny bits of add-ons. Comeon, hard drive? Use it to load games faster like on the PC. I can't wait for the PS3 because it IS the future and will bring the HD-era with it unlike the Xbox's *chuckles* component cables and *chuckles again* DVD drive.

losing it
It seems like I'm forgetting more and more as the days go by. I forgot that I had this little project due on the 15th. Oh well, more work for me tomorrow.
It's been a pretty lackluster weekend. For some odd reason, I watched "Titanic" from beginning to end on HBO Signature. That movie just pulled me in I guess. I also watched "Howl's Moving Castle". It's certainly not one of the greatest, but it put a smile to my frowning face. It drags on some parts, but there is so much to enjoy in this film. I just don't get certain aspects of the movie. Maybe a second watch will be sufficient enough.
As for gaming, I got really irritated playing Spartan: Total Warrior. And do you know what mission that is? AN ESCORT MISSION. I hate those in every game that has them. First person shooters, third person action, flying games........escort missions suck. It's always protect the weak. I don't know why they can't protect themselves those lazy bastards. I also played a couple missions on Battlefield 2: Modern Combat. One thing that bothers me about that game is that it feels like you're floating on water, not like Killzone or other shooters. And to repeat again: Guitar Hero is no fun with the dual shock controller.

jealous
I'm envious of my friend Jorge. Want to know why? He has Guitar Hero. GUITAR HERO. None of my games come close to that..........well maybe Resident Evil 4, but still, GUITAR HERO.

...
This made me laugh for a while.
I've been watching those amazing looking HD trailers at apple.com. Sure its only 480p, but that the only resolution that my computer can take. I watched a bunch including that Munich trailer and......*gasp* that Harry Potter trailer. You know I've got to admit it. I like Harry Potter. Sure I haven't read the books, but at least the movies are entertaining.

finally
Family Guy and American Dad are finally showing new episodes and they are to the point of greatness again. I could barely stop laughing during both episodes. The scene that made me laugh the most was when Steve still couldn't see Angelina Jolie nude because he smashed into an oil rig.

lucky bastard
The bastard himself
Japanese megastar Takashi Kaneshiro has been trying to improve his English in the U.S. at UCLA language school in order to snag a possible movie deal. Screaming fans have been following him around the campus and even interrupting lessons. The university was forced to move Kaneshiro to a more spacious classroom and put a ban on taking pictures.
Local media, on the other hand, wondered if Kaneshiro could finish school and come to Taiwan in time for the 42nd edition of the Golden Horse Awards. Asia Plus, the network in charge of the broadcasting of the ceremony, made a generous offer to pay for the star.
If only I was this good looking. lol.
And what the hell is this with Bai Ling and Nick Carter? Marriage? I hope he blows up.

monotony
Just finished watching a couple of movies at the start of the weekend.
First was the movie "The Myth" starring Jackie Chan. Another entertaining film that makes up for his American flops. This should be a note to Jackie: Don't make American films. This movie reminded me of another movie which I can't remember at the moment. Jackie Chan's character, Jack, has been getting the same recurring dream for several months. His dream goes back in time and he is a general of an army. As he saves a Korean concubine, he wakes up. Later on, his friend, William, informs him of an archelogy site he might be interested in. This is the start of the adventure. It gets really sad the end too. Almost teared up, but my manliness held up.
Next up was the japanese film, "Kamikaze Girls." It's actually a great film. This movie is absolutely just random and weird, but the weird thing is, it fits. It has lots of style and just pure fun. Plus, you have to love that cute actress, Kyôko Fukada. Absolutely hilarious to see a girl in those lolita dresses. This film is about change and whether you are going to accept it or not. This picture I posted is just how weird this film is.
And lastly comes "Lilya 4-Ever". Another great film from Russia. It proves how sick the world is. It made me stop my habit......if you know what I mean. It's a really sad movie in which a pretty girl, Lilya (hence the title), gets thrown into the pits of prostitution because of her messed up friend's lie. If you have a friend that can backstab you like that, you have to reconsider who your friends are. Because goddamn, that friend is a total bitch. The only way out of her situation is death, but the question is, "Will she?". Watch the movie to find out.
Other than movies, I've just been playing videogames and working on a paper due Monday. Games like Battlefield 2: Modern Combat, Spartan: Total Warrior, Jak X: Combat Racing, and Fahrenheit (yet again) have been taking much of my time. I finished that new Bond game in a measly five hours so I suggest you rent it first before thinking of buying it. I'm holding off on playing Resident Evil 4 until Thanksgiving break so that I'll be totally focused on that game for the duration of the week. And that new Matrix game is coming out. Hopefully, it doesn't suck like Enter the Matrix did. How the hell can you release a game as buggy as that? Echoing in the cutscenes? Getting stuck in the door? What was that? Path of Neo better be good.
As for life itself, I still don't have the courage to talk to women. I'm sorry, but I just can't. I don't have the confidence to do so. And please don't help me. There is no way that it is going to happen. I don't care anymore. I have more important things to think about. Yes, women are amazingly beautiful, but I just don't have the capabilities to even talk to one. It'll be hilarious though. To actually become the 40-year old virgin.....seriously. That movie spoke to me. If you think of Christian as a movie, think of "The 40-year old Virgin".

today was horrible
I took two tests today, one after another. First was Accounting 131, which OMG....I just went blank in. Then came ITK375 which was not too bad, not for the fact that I didn't know the answers to the questions not provided on the study guide. So yeah, taking those two tests really shot my stress up and my confidence level in my work even lower.
Of course, this can all be contributed to my laziness and willingness to study and review over the course objectives. I seriously need to turn off my downloads and my computer shut down completely.
Well, I can add the fact that I forgot that there was caffeine in Barq's root beer. I could barely sleep yesterday. I kept on tossing and turning, but my brain wouldn't shut off.
Oh well, next time world. Next time I'll do better.

guitar hero
I have enough money to buy it, but then again, I won't have enough money for everything else. I guess I'll hold off on this for a while.
I finally watched that White Sox mob at ISU video on collegehumor.com. Jeez, how embarrassing. What the fuck is wrong with those people? It just degrades ISU's reputation.
Eh, I have two tests on Thursday. One of them is going to be fairly easy, but Accounting? OMG......that exam is going to be a beast. I tried to review for this test, but I fell asleep in doing so.
I should really stop in getting new games......James Bond 007: Russia in Love and Call of Duty 2: Big Red One are on their way........the madness!!
On the movies front, I got a chance to watch Stay. Awesome movie. It makes me wonder if that is going to happen to me when that situation arises.

weekend recap
Here's a recap of what happened over the weekend:
- I watched Saw 2. Great movie. Just as good as the first.
- I watched Doom. I kind of enjoyed this one. Not as stupid as Resident Evil and has some pretty sweet action scenes.
- Played Killzone online with some GAP members.
- Played a bit of Jak X on single player
- Finished the Warriors.......lol....."Warriors, come out and playyyyyy" clank clank clank
- Finished The Suffering: Ties that Bind. Just as enjoyable as the first. A bit easy though, just use strategy.
- Finished Total Overdose: A Gunslinger's Tale in Mexico. Game that totally sucks.
- Completed Blitz: The League's single player campaign. I won the division 1 series by one freaking point.
So yeah, it was a good weekend. Now its time to stop playing and start focusing on school.

an orgasm of games
-Battlefield 2: Modern Combat
-Ratchet: Deadlocked
-Resident Evil 4
-Soul Calibur 3
OMG. When will this influx of games end? Why can't these games get released in the summer when there was a drought?

absolutely fucking fantastic
It was a fairly good weekend. I finally saw my room designed by no other than my cousin Felice. She did a fantastic job with the paint and design of the room. I just love the shelves and the desk she put in. I can finally put my laptop on a desk rather than on top of the metal shelves. I still have to throw some junk away, but other than that, it looks fabulous.
I finally played Shadow of the Colossus and its as good as everyone says. It's just so damn impressive in both gameplay and style.
We went to J. Alexanders steakhouse Sunday to celebrate my aunt's 60th birthday. My dad and her were complaining that the prime rib was too salty, but when she gave me a piece.......omg, I was in heaven. It was so fucking good. Salty? Yes, but it was so delicious.

only this one time
Okay, I shouldn't have done it, but I just had to. The substitute teacher is boring and she said, "Everything here is from the book." So screw that, I'm going to sleep. My ITK375 teacher? Bores the shit out of me. I doze off most of the time. So screw that, I'm going to sleep. As for ITK261, I'm still going. No point in skipping that class.
By doing this, I got an extra two hours of sleep. But of course, I can't do this anymore. So, its a bit of a tradeoff.

sensory overload
OMG......Shadow of the Colossus, Socom III, The Warriors, Blitz: The League, Jak X Combat Racing. Jesus.
And of course, I'm procrastinating again. Goddammit. Why the hell do I even bother? I'll get it done hours before its due. Thank god I only have two classes tomorrow.

heil hitler!!!
No, I'm no Nazi, but I get to watch the remarkable Downfall on DVD. A spectacular movie based on the words of a secretary during the fall of Hitler. There were amazing performances throughout the entire movie from Hitler's generals, Traudl (One of Hitler's secretaries), to Hitler himself. There were loads of touching moments. For example, Eva Braun and Traudl are talking about Hitler. Traudl says that Hitler can be a caring guy, but he changes to a different person. Eva responds, "Only when he's Fuerer right?" You can see in the people's faces what they think of him. Some of them respect him, some of them betray him. You can sense Hitler's vulnerability change throughout the film. Sometimes, he thinks the war is over, then minutes later he would try to arrange his troops to win back Berlin, and so on. Overall, outstanding movie. I wish I could have seen this in the theatres.
As a side note, that actress that plays Traudl......wow.
This makes me think about this world's past. Everybody has a dream. Hitler had a dream to spread his notion of a perfect world. It's too bad his dream put millions of people to death. Look at us now. It's the SAME GODDAMN THING. We have Bush trying to spread democracy throughout the world by eliminting threats towards this ideology. What is so different about democracy that makes it better than anything else? While I do support the notion of "power to the people", is democracy really like that? Do the people have power? I think its crazy, but I don't think so. We leave the decisions to high ranking officials instead of the people that create this nation. Sure we hold elections to choose the best people to represent us, but that should not mean that we should be left out of decision making. I don't know how we can support this ideology when we have been lied to numerous times? Remember that whole "Weapons of Mass Destruction" fiasco? It was a huge lie to bring us to war. And for what? To make profit for the government by putting more money in to the military. It's all profit these days. Let's see who can make the most money. It's all bullshit now. We have politicians participating in scandals, and yet we still elect them. It's absurd. Another thing wrong with this country is the amount of power we have over others. Why can we have nuclear weapons, but not other countries? If we can have nuclear missles, other countries should have them too? Shouldn't it be fair? When our government sees a threat, it gets destroyed. And you know why? Because we are scared that it might escalate to something bigger than it is currently.
But I guess it's human instinct. To kill what might kill us.

too busy
Yeah, I've been busy so I wasn't able to blog that much. I got some new games, but I'm a bit disappointed that they do not work on the hard drive. I really do not want to burn out the laser. I finally got a chance to play the demo for Resident Evil 4. It's pretty cool stuff. The only disappointing in this game is the controls. It still controls like a tank. And the aiming sucks, but I'm sure it is because I'm not used to it.
And just to make sure, Happy Birthday Pam!

wallace and gromit: the curse of the were-rabbit
I absolutely LOVED this movie. The jokes were funny (there was even some adult themed ones) and the characters were a blast. And the bunnies. Gotta love those bunnies. But, of course, I love bunnies. It's my favorite animal.
And Roeper gave this a thumbs down. Boo. I think his critique on certain films is just absolutely wrong. Sometimes he does it right, but most of the time, his critique only applies to the movie-goer's movie. His critique is "whether or not its worth paying for" instead of just recommending the movie itself regardless of money.

trying it out
I decided to drop the title of the journal and just left the image. Looks pretty sweet in my opinion. Don't worry. I won't leave that picture up. It is just for testing purposes.
For some odd reason, I played videogames from 12am to 6am. And its just playing that recent Hulk game. It's just so hard to not play during the week that it just bursts into a huge gaming session. I played Killzone online with GAP, but didn't play for long because I wanted to beat Hulk badly. I woke up around 12pm thinking, "Shit. That was stupid."

lost episode three and some other crap
Wow, what an episode. Can this show get any better? I bet it can. Why is it only one hour? Why can't it be all day? This show is the only show that I can't wait for on DVD. I need to see it. Next week is going to be awesome.
So yeah, other crap. I'm bored to hell during the week. Just homework and internet. Homework and internet. I'm thinking of stopping internet since it takes up so much of my damn time. But I love it so much. Communicating with people back and forth. It makes me feel like I'm a part of something. Eh, maybe its the only excuse of why I don't have a lot of friends. Damn, how sweet it would be to have a girlfriend: one who loves my gray hair, my video game habits, my foreign films, my anime......its only a dream. Nobody like that exists.
Video games are starting to bore me. They can't love me back. But I can't stop playing them. They are my world.
As you can read (if you've read this far), I'm bored. I tried reading my accounting textbook, but my head started to sleep. My brother and mother have been teasing me on what my room looks like. Goddammit the two of you post some pics........the anticipation is killing me. It makes me want to go home right now. I cannot however because its way too expensive. If only I can drive......omg that's another situation.
Bottomline is my life isn't turning out the way I wanted it to.

Bottomline is my life isn't turning out the way I wanted it to.

movies and time
Time flies by when you watching movies especially fun ones.
Dominion. You really know that they didn't work on this film that much due to the horrible CG, but its substantially better than the remade version. There are less frantic shots and awkward story points. It still has the same plot, same location, and most of the same actors. The remade version just wanted to resemble the original. This version tries to attack the story from a different angle. Rather than evil in just possession, it makes it clear that evil is within us. The actual possession made me laugh quite a bit since the possessee looked like the demon anyway. And of course the horrible CG shots of red eyes and hyenas.
The Brothers Grimm. Well its a fun film. Let us just leave it at that. I think so many people were turned off by this film because I guess it was too dark for the entire family. I enjoyed seeing the references of the gingerbread man, little red riding hood, and other fairy tales. Of course, they all came from Grimm's fairy tales (or something Grimm related). The only problem with this movie is how cliched the character development is. The nerdy brother finally stands up to his other, blah, blah, blah.
Land of the Dead. I've already watched this. The unrated edition is just a couple of minutes tacked on to make it more violent. Nothing more.
A History of Violence. This movie is just great. The violence was graphic, but not Versus-ridiculous-graphic. The characters are grounded in reality. At some points though, it makes me wonder what the hell are they doing (ex. the "just fuck me already" sex scene). William Hurt's character is the funniest because nothing goes right for him even when he tries to do something. I just wished I would have seen this in the theatres. This movie also shows that nerds do have power :).
Well that was my weekend. Coupled with Killzone, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, and Darkwatch, it was a nice weekend.

link
I was bored, so I came across this link.
http://www.collegehumor.com/movies/1611734/
It's hilarious.
Just got the recent episode of Lost. Kinda disappointed that the new stuff was limited to only a couple of minutes, but it was still great. I got a 700mb version that looks amazing. Just like watching it off a HDTV.

weird things happening
I'm just so tired everyday. When I wake up, I feel like I've only slept for a couple of minutes even though 8 hours have passed. I slept in one of my classes today for a quarter of the time. It might be due to the lack of exercise and my horrendous diet of burgers and mashed potatoes.
What is also worse are the nightmares. I've been getting so many of them lately. Two days ago, I had a dream where I jammed a pencil through Miggy's skull. We then tried to pull it out, but we couldn't. The next night I had another one. It's where everyone was there, my cousins, my friends, my entire family and all of them were laughing at me for no apparent reason. I had another one today, but I didn't remember it. But I do know I had one because I woke up in the middle of the night sweating like crazy.

weird horror movie
I just finished watching this korean horror flick, Dead Friend. The twist of this kinda made sense, but overall, it doesn't. The plot was not that bad if heavily cliched. Yes, there is a long haired ghost, but at least there were some pretty girls :). The best scenes are no doubt the ones where you see the people throwing up water. That was pretty original. One thing did really annoy me. It was the music. It sounded like it came from some other movie, I swear.
I also watched Taxi 2. It wasn't that bad, it is just not as good as the first. They made the movie an all out comedy special. I didn't mind since I had a lot of fun with the cast of characters. Taxi 3, well, that movie was just like, "okay lets do another movie." After watching 3, I can say that 2 sucks because its the same goddamn thing. Well Bai Ling is in it and she's hot. Only thing redeemable in this movie (along with that cute french chick from Big Fish).
As for gaming, I beat Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks. I had a fun time with this game until Shao Khan. What a cheap bastard with his hammer, fucker. This game has tons of references from previous games. I smiled when I saw Johnny Cage do a fatality for me. If you know Mortal Kombat, then you'll definitely know what I am talking about.
School wise. I'm doing much better. I love having tons of classes. I'm never bored. I rarely take a nap anymore since I have so much work to do. But since I got my ps2, I kinda slipped. No worries though. I've decided to only play on the weekends and focus on my studies during the week. I hope my plan works (as most of the time my plan fails).

"Fuck the world man. The dead wasn't invited anyway." Sounds like something from a movie.

damn
I just found out that one of the people that I knew from classes hung himself. One of my friends told me that one of his friends was sobbing on her shoulder. They didn't know why he committed suicide. Nobody even knew there was a problem. Fuck.
If I killed myself, would anybody remember me? Probably not. :(

sorry
Sorry about the lack of updates on my journal. I've been busy with school (you must be thinking yeah right.....and I agree) and with just downloading stuff. I haven't watched a lot of things I've got. So far, I've watched none of the foreign films I got from both emule and Daniel nor have I watched any of the anime I got. School takes about half my day Monday thru Friday.
This morning I was deciding whether or not I should buy a new 120gb hard drive because I'm getting quite frustrated with just a 40gb. But I decided that I shouldn't because my money is worth much more than having more games on a hard drive.

oh well
It was a great weekend. We had pizza Friday, Ed Debevics on Sat, and awesome pasta (receipe from the gorgeous Italian cook). I barely got any homework done, but it was mostly reading.
I noticed that this italic problem is due to my computer only. Fuck. It's so hard to figure out what the problem is. I think its the language pack I installed.

i'm okay now
After literally going nuts because of the Advent Children release, I have calmed down. I've watched the movie at least once everyday since I got it. I added removable subs, yes REMOVABLE, to the DVD so I'll get to watch it on a regular DVD player.
The movie is absolutely, incredibly, unbelivably awesome. If you're a FF7 fan, you NEED to watch this.
On other news, Family Guy was okay, but American Dad.....that was hilarious. It was all a test....camera focuses on Haley's boyfriend who is fucked up.....lol.
Hey I was pretty close.

thank you 24
It is now 4:45am.
Well, as always, my plans have changed. Instead of going to the Xbox event and then watching a movie afterwards, I just spent the last several hours watching the intense season four of 24. It's amazing how every episode ends in a cliffhanger.
I didn't eat for a while since I was so hooked on the series. I'm already on the third DVD and its only been the second day since I started watching. I held off eating dinner because I thought I was going to eat after the movie. So, I just went to Subway at 11:30pm and ordered a 12 inch Chicken and Bacon Ranch sub. Tasty stuff.
I really miss my Playstation 2. The time here is just unbearable without it. I'm so distracted by the thought of not having it that I can't do anything else on the weekends. Sure my roommate has an Xbox, but I just can't get into that system. That was sure foolish of me to leave my greatest hobby behind. Like I said before, watching movies is okay, but playing games is just so much better. Right now I'm trying to beat Super Mario Kart. I've already gotten Golds on the three main tracks on 100cc mode. I just need to finish that last tournament, but it is a bit hard since I'm having some controller issues. Shit, I just noticed that I completely forgot about Final Fantasy VI. I think I'm going to get rolling in that game for the time being.
I have to go. I need to get some sleep. I need to do some heavy reading later today and Sunday.

ah, the weekend is almost here
It's pretty relaxing to know that the weekend is almost here. It was a short week and all thanks to Labor Day. I have a lot of catching up to do especially with reading stuff. I'll probably just do that on the weekend. I'm planning to go to this Xbox thing at our school where you get to preview unreleased games for the Xbox. I might as well have fun while I'm here. Then I plan to watch the Exorcism of Emily Rose right after. So it's going to be a great Friday (hopefully).
I got my hands on Advent Children. It's fucking awesome people. Eh, got ya. Why can't this movie be leaked early? Dammit! Well, I did get my hands on the "A Bittersweet Life" OST. It's okay. There are only several tracks worth listening to (8, 9, 16).

just fucking bored (or retarded?)
Can you believe it guys? I did absolutely no homework during Labor Day weekend. All I did was sleep, get better, and watch movies. On Monday, I went to McDonalds and bought 2 double cheeseburgers, 2 McChickens, and a side of large fries. I was hungry since all I ate for the weekend was soup. I fucking gorged on it. So fucking good. And holy shit, my neighbor was having sex with his girlfriend loads of times. The moaning is so loud that it makes my life pitiful. Oh well. I hope I don't sick anymore. I was blowing out so much snot this morning. I finally got everything out especially with a huge one during my last sneeze. That was probably the virus inside my body. It's disgusting really.
I can't stand this stupid ass italic font. There is probably something wrong with blogger's servers.
I've been watching the Advent Children stuff over and over again. I've noticed that they have done a lot of changes to the facial attributes to the characters. Rather than look more human like, they look more like anime characters which is nice.

movies galore
Well, I'm getting better. Now I'm just coughing a lot. I've watched a lot of movies today and probably more after I type this up. I've already watched Azumi 2, Fever Pitch, and the Longest Yard. Entertaining films I must say. I kind of hate Fever Pitch due to the fact that Jimmy Fallon can't act for shit. Seriously, he cannot. He sucks period.

i'm sick
I hate being sick. Damn bacteria!! I wash my hands, I brush my teeth.......somehow it got in. Must have been that hitter I was smoking.......I should be careful next time.
I just bought alcohol for my friend and roommate. It sucks because it would be the last time. Next time, they won't accept my ID because its red. Well, when I renew it, hopefully during break, they can accept it.
Uh......the medicine I have isn't even working. Fucking SHIT!

i dream again
I like blogging about my dreams. I don't know what they mean, but they sure are awesome especially if I remember them. I only get dreams when I'm passed out or when I take a short nap like today. I woke up around 9am, used my laptop a bit, then slept again around 11am. This is where the dream begins.
I'm in this sushi restaurant. There is this girl I have a crush on sitting at the table. I excuse myself from the table to go to the washroom. Now this is where it gets a bit weird. I have to go through a room filled with miscellaneous objects. It's like an abandoned classroom with desks stacked and with eerie lighting. It's weird because I always see this in many of the dreams that I get. As I'm going to the washroom, I meet up with this other girl who tells me she locked her room which is right beside the washroom. I say "okay" and see her go away. I find out that the door to the washroom does not close, but I take a shit anyway. People start to come and see me take a shit. They start laughing. I clean up and the laughing ends. I find my brother on the way back. He tells me, "You have to tell her." All of a sudden I see her. I get the courage to tell her, "It's been eating me up inside for so long. I don't know what is going to happen or how. All I want to say is that I love you." I then run away into darkness. I then see myself sulking in this room. I see her again. She tells me, "Will you go back?" "No." I then kiss her. It sort of reminds me of the kiss at the end of Garden State because there was music playing in the background. As I was kissing her, the "camera" was rotating around us.
I wake up. It's 12:30pm. Oh fuck.......that was a good dream. Too bad it will never happen.

nice weekend and halo 2 sucks
My second, but truly first, weekend here. It's actually quite relaxing. I only have a couple of assignments and a couple of movies to watch.
I stayed at Lawson's place for around 5 hours. And all I was doing was testing out his system with a couple more games. I finally figured out how to get Chronicles of Riddick to work even though it took me an hour to find out. That game looks incredible. I was having so much fun just punching the crap out of people. There is this weird problem with his video card though. It does not display directshow video correctly. It has this horrible quality to it. Anyways, it doesn't matter since he streams the videos to his laptop.
I beat Halo 2 earlier today. I wasn't addicted to this game, but I really did want to finish it before the weekend ends. Bottom line: Halo 2 is fucking boring. I don't understand what the fuss was about. The single player campaign is just too stretched out and just plain boring. Sure the multiplayer is great (and probably what they only worked on), but goddamn, the campaign just sucks. Even the graphics are a hit or miss. Sometimes I would see absolutely fantastic visuals, then in certain levels I would see repeating textures and for some gooddamn reason, spawning enemies. I hate the lod graphical issues. Sure the game loads pretty quickly, but shit that is what the ram is for. For example, if the game renders an object far away, it decreased the texture and polygonal quality. But as the game closes in on the object, the quality gets better. However, in Halo 2, it appears mainly during the cutscenes where there are lots of spontaneous cuts. Production quality wasn't as good as I hoped.
Basically Halo 2 was just Halo. You rode vehicles, you killed aliens, blah blah blah. And omg, the ending. Talk about putting a cliffhanger. It was the most abrupt sequence I have ever seen anywhere. If this was a movie, it would definitely get zero stars.

waste of money.........but hey what can I do
I just spent $37 for one month for service to a FTP server. Yes, it is a waste of money, but hey its like I'm going to spend it on anything else (like food and whatnot). I am going to buy Advent Children. That deserves to be bought. I also bought the paperback edition of American Psycho. I'm spending quite a lot since I'll be getting this fat deposit from half.com.
The speeds on BT are just way too slow at school. I know its horrible when its going slower than the DSL connection at home. Even emule is faster.
I recently watched The Descent. Pretty awesome horror flick from the UK. There were several times where I literally jumped out of my seat. Some were predictable, but some were not. Plus, I loved the ending. I recommend this as a worthy watch.
Anyways g2g. Gotta get more stuff.

getting better
It's getting a bit better here. Last night, I spent my evening at my old roommate's apartment. It's a pretty big apartment for only one bedroom. I played a couple of PC games just to test out his 6800 GT video card. It was awesome. Playing F.E.A.R. with all the settings on High quality is just amazing.
I bought my other two books. Can you believe my books cost up to $400? That fucked my parent's wallets for sure. Anyways, my classes have been good so far. I love lecture classes because I don't need to participate that much.
Last night, I went to Subway because I was hungry (I took a big hit from Lawson's bong and boy did it make me buzzed). I enjoyed their Chicken Bacon Ranch sub. Fucking fantastic.

stupid america
I was watching G4 Tech TV and noticed that they called Oldboy ultra violent. WHAT THE FUCK. Compared to some of the movies I've seen, Oldboy is quite tame. Watch the movie and then criticize it. Don't criticize it off of a couple of clips. Dumbasses. Then to say it looks cliched? A ballet? Well cheoreographed? What the fuck are they talking about?
Then they say that the Ebert blasted Brown Bunny at Cannes (which is correct), but then to say nothing about Ebert's latest review in which he retracted his original review because of the edits, is just plain stupid.

boredom decreasing
I finally met my new roommate. He's pretty cool. He brought a TV, so now I'll have something to do when I'm bored.
We now have a shitload of channels from Fuse to G4 Tech TV. I don't know why ISU hasn't thought of that before.
I went to my first two classes today. So far its good. I had to buy some of the books. I already spent the $200 that papa gave me for books. And I still need to buy two more books. I'll just buy them online since they are way much cheaper.

i'm now officially bored
As much as I liked leaving my house, I want to go back. Only because there is a television there. I didn't want to pressure my parents into buying a new television just for the dorm room. Goddamn. What the hell was I thinking of not bringing a television?
This makes me regret selling that ATI Tuner card I bought a couple of months ago. Even though the picture quality sucked, it was freaking TV.
Sure I have the internet........but fuck. I'm bored as hell right now. I should have ripped the new Simpsons season or some Seinfeld episodes. Shit.......all I brought were the necessities.
Oh yeah, guys watch this. It was an idea in Family Guy coming to life. Absolutely hilarious.
Why did I get so stupid and not bring a television?
This makes me regret selling that ATI Tuner card I bought a couple of months ago. Even though the picture quality sucked, it was freaking TV.
Sure I have the internet........but fuck. I'm bored as hell right now. I should have ripped the new Simpsons season or some Seinfeld episodes. Shit.......all I brought were the necessities.

pretty standard day
I woke up around 10am with absolutely nothing to do. I started up my dad's computer and started to play Painkiller. I finished a level then proceeded downstairs to play GTA for a while. I then went upstairs to eat some pizza from yesterday. Tasty yet again.......it did seem a bit smaller though. I even ate some pasta. I then went downstairs again to play some more GTA.
One thing is bugging me though. Daniel and I tell Melanie, the girl my brother is taking care of, to take a nap. Now, if I had a choice between playing video games and taking a really awesome nap, I would go for the nap. When I went downstairs at 4pm, I see her rushing to turn off the computer and going to take a nap. An hour later, I see her watching TV. Give me a fucking break. I think she never takes naps. She just "tries" to take one. Melanie, don't blame me if you grow up to be a fucking midget. It was freaking weird. When we were sleeping at Geneva, she slept past 3am. 3am!!! When I was at that age, I never slept past 11pm (tops!). When I see her sleep past 12am, something is definitely wrong. It's like she is used to sleeping this late..........which, of course, is very bad for a kid. When you are around high school, then its okay because you're cramming for reports and projects. But seriously, grade school? No fucking way a kid should stay up that late. I'm just expressing my anger since she is a straight A student........she might falter when she does the same exact thing when she goes to school this fall. Word of advice bitch: Take your fucking nap now or suffer later.
Of course, I don't say anything since I'm not taking care of her. I don't give a fuck.

how's it going
It's been pretty boring for the last couple of days. While I loathe going to J.Alexander's (just because we go there too much), the food was excellent. My prime rib steak was just unbelievably delicious. The mashed potatoes were done just to the point of perfection. I wish all the times I ate there were like that.
Well today we ate at one of those deep dish pizza places, and damn it was fucking good. I was the only one there who ate two slices. After we ate, Daniel told us of his ordeal. I don't want to explain it here, but maybe here. He was totally freaked out. I can't believe he didn't tell me.
Also today, Felice got my brother and I some pretty sweet watches. My old watch broke about a month ago due to it being in the heat too long. Thank God for such a generous cousin.
As for gaming news, I'm still torn on what game I need to finish. I need to finish a couple of games before I leave for college. It just needs to happen.

happy birthday....
.....to me. Yup, I am 21 years old. It makes me think what the hell I have been doing with my life. Videogames, movies, leisurely activities.........not really progressing. LOL. But its all fun.
I'm currently on a break which I took after one break. I'm going to proofread a paper that was supposed to be finished two weeks ago. I let down my group again by messing up right before the deadline. I know everything is going to be fucked up. I'm going to get a dry mouth, stutter, and seriously spaz out. I always do it, and there is no doubt in my mind that it is going to happen tomorrow.
I cannot wait to get this over with.

girls = drama
You get a bunch of girls and stick them into a room. What is the result? Drama. I'm the only guy in my group and this is what I get. You have one girl who became upset because she felt attacked by another girl and you have one stuck in the middle tryingto mediate, but at the same time do her job.
The stress is getting higher and higher as the days move on to Friday. The big presentation. I know I'm going to freak out (as always).
On other news, I bought two new PC games. You're probably wondering how did I get the money to buy new games. Simple. My dad gave me money to spend on books. It's just unbearable to not buy something after so long. I bought Sims 2 for Felice and myself. I'm starting to like that game since you get to have sex (Woohoo in the game). I also bought Painkiller which is for my roommate. He likes FPS and he likes killing. Plus, he's been wanting to play that game ever since he played the demo.
I'll probably get the money back by selling my books online. Hopefully at least $50.

oops, I did it again
No, not the Britney Spears single, but my procrastination habits. I'm currently trying to finish my part in this group project about the crimes against women in India. I can honestly say that I am a fucking dumbass. It's like I did anything today except play Grand Theft Auto.
Anyways, my cousin got a sweet deal at Best Buy. Now an awesome laptop is currently on her lap. My brother and I (mostly I) was eyeballing this sweet Samsung TV. It was fucking gorgeous. It has HDMI inputs and can go up to 1080i. And the picture was so clear. I'll be sure to get that once I get a stable job.
I'm currently hopped up on Bawls and Red Bull so I'll let you guys go. Later.

August 03, 2005
In a week and several days, I will be 21. It's not like I'm going to go on a drinking binge. It's just nice to know that I'm not limited in this country anymore. The last couple of days was alright I guess. My brother and I had to move this couch to our aunt's place. What she didn't tell us is that the couch is in Chicago. What a bitch. I had to sit in this tight little spot for most of the ride to/from there. It wasted about 4 hours of my life. Hours that can be used to be spent playing Killer 7. I finally installed the exploit at my cousin's place. It was a bitch because I installed the wrong game on the memory card. Fuck, I should have thrown those CDs away. One of the cool things about his apartment is that he has digital cable. I want digital cable. You'll never get bored unlike the cable we have installed at my house. Of course, I find it ridiculous that you need a box for every TV in the house. Talk about being expensive.

wedding crashers
This is a fun movie. Even though most of it is pretty much forgettable, there was some great hilarious moments. All of which went to Vince Vaughn. Talk about being at the wrong place at the wrong time, lol.
I've noticed that I gained a bit of weight, lets say, since a month ago. I seriously need to lose weight. The pants I'm wearing now used to be loose on me before I came home, and now they fit a bit too perfect. Losing 40lbs is going to be a challenge.
As of gaming news, I'm starting to enjoy Killer 7. The story is getting more interesting as I advance further into this psycho thriller. I started on a couple of games like Star Ocean and Nanobreaker hopefully to make a dent into my unfinished bin.

filet minon
When you have a baked potato, lasagna (I know its spelled wrong), filet minion, Coca Cola, and Boggle, you have an okay party. I wished we could have played Boggle sooner, because goddamn that game is fun. I found it to be pretty funny that I could only get three and four letter words. I have a slim vocabulary I guess. My cousin was on a roll and got around 10 words per round. Did I mention the tender and satisfying filet minion? It was fucking good. Beef......its good for you.
I got addicted to the Sims again. I realized that I never finished this game before (due to that massive erasure of the memory contents), so I started it up again. I spent the last 4 hours playing that damn game. I hope it doesn't get in the way of completing other games.
My god.....I need to watch a movie. It's been a while since I watched. The last movie I watched was War of the Worlds. That was pretty damn long ago.

what am I doing?
I'm laying here, typing in my journal, but why? This is why: I'm procrastinating. I was supposed to have this log entry done by today. I seriously don't know why I do it. I could count the times I played video games instead of doing what needed to be done. It's an addiction like many of the things I do. Play videogames, mindlessly browse the internet, watch television, watch movies (my god when will I see the Island?).....that sums up my bum life, lol. I never do anything interesting like go on computer lan parties or computer industry expos......you know be interested in the field I'm going to school for. I make my life sound depressing more than it is. A lot of people would love being a bum like myself. But the reality is, I hate being a bum. I want to do something, but silly old habits like procrastination block my way and I seriously don't know how to break them.
Like today for example, I was supposed to wake up 8am, but said, "ah shit, I'll just wake up later to study for the final." I finally wake up 10am, but only to play Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for one and a half hours. I beat a couple missions ending on a mission that frustrated me. The goal of the mission was to shoot down a couple of gang members on a train. It took me several tries before I completed it.
I'm going a bit off track. I'm going to post regularly here around once a day since I hate to see people getting bored for some reason. Do my posts entertain you guys? Or bug you to death?
Even though I hate comments, I'll enable them for you to respond.........just this once. And please, no sarcastic comments......I hate sarcasm. If you want to say something, say it, don't beat around the bush or whatever that line is.
Btw, that Family Guy movie was pretty funny, not as good as regular episodes, but there were some hilarious scenes.

saved
Boy, was I saved yesterday. It seems like we didn't even have a group meeting. Anyways, g2g. Going to play some Grand Theft Auto. I'm trying to finish the game again. I'm kinda pissed my game save was erased when that whole hard drive incident happened.

new phone
By some dumb luck, I got a new phone. It's my birthday present from my mom. She is just going to buy it off her friend who was thinking of returning it. While I don't need it, she gave me the bluetooth headset as a gift. I guess its pretty cool. As for the phone itself, its pretty sweet. It can play mp3s as ringtones so yes, I got the Oldboy theme as my ringtone. Of course, I can put more, but I haven't decided yet what to put. Phone numbers can be voice activated as well so no more dialing. For example, to call Daniel, I can say, "Big Daddy" and it will call him. It's old news technology wise, but its still cool.
I finally beat that damn frustrating, "I want to rip my brains out", Third Age game. And jeez, talk about the ending. It was just a 10-second clip of Gandalf talking. Fuck. At least the videos were better compressed than the Star Wars game.
Damn, when the hell am I going to see the Island? I've been sleeping everytime I want to see it.

i'm bad
I skipped my first and only day of summer school. I slept pretty late, around 4am this morning. I woke up 6:30 with a major headache so I just decided to sleep.
And sleep is all I did today. I was supposed to watch the Island, but for some reason, my bed was calling me, "Wency, sleep on me, I'll make you really comfortable." So I did and yes, it was amazingly comfortable.
I played more of that goddamn Third Age. Fucking boring game. Good graphics, great sound, horrible implementation.

balancing effect
As you can see from the pic, I started editing the music video. It's a bit hard since my brain totally shut off half way in the editing process. I couldn't remember the part I needed to do, or how far into the song I was, etc. So I just turned the computer off.
I was supposed to get some research done, but there was a power outage at my house. The router fucked up as usual. It took me a while before I put it back online.
I am starting to hate The Third Age. I hate the fact that the game is way too unbalanced in combat. Sometimes the battles are easy to medium difficulty. Then when I fight bosses, the game maxes out the difficulty. For example, the Grima Wormtongue boss fight. I was almost wiped out even though my party was level 44-50!!! I was only level 54 when I beat Shadow Hearts: Covenant. Considering I'm only halfway done with Third Age, that is totally fucked up. I also hate the fact that you have no idea what kind of effects were placed on party members. For example, this enemy casts "Rage of Sauruman" on himself. I don't have the faintest idea what that does, I can guess, but nothing definite. I also hate how enemies have tons of HP. I would do 2000 damage on an orc, and yet it lives. A normal enemy having 6000 HP is just absurd......that is what a boss in Final Fantasy has! Damn, I can't wait to beat this game. It sucks compared to Two Towers or Return of the King. At least, those were fun to play.
*Jorge if you reading this, give me a call. I want to borrow San Andreas from you. I want to try the "hot coffee" mod. Plus, maybe I can get that damn exploit to work. Give me a list of SLUS numbers with their respective title names if you can and maybe you can come over when you are available and bring your ps2.

panini, yet still bored
I ate a shitload of panini today, yet I'm still bored. I played a bit of Killer 7 and Third Age, but not too much since I played way too long yesterday. 5 hours of Third Age........yup that's too long.
Did anybody hear of the xbox360 leak? I just think it is just a marketing ploy. It's just to increase the hype by having a so called "son of a microsoft worker" release tidbits of the capabilities of the system.
We were supposed to shoot a music video, but I guess my brother is too lazy.
Oh yeah, did you guys see Family Guy? That part with the music video was freaking hilarious. Where do they come up with that stuff?

I hate being shy
I totally fucked up this impromptu speech. I couldn't stop fumbling and mumbling the words in my mouth. I just didn't know what to say. I was explaining this and that with nothing to back me up. Goddamn what a dumbass I am.
Also, I think I'm going a bit crazy. When I was following my grandmother to the garage door to our house, I thought about smashing her head in because she is so fucking slow. She is going at snail speeds. Yes, I know she is old, but jeez, stay in the back of the pack. I FUCKING HATE SLOW PEOPLE. I cringed when it happened all the time in high school and I get frustrated when it happens in public. If you are going slow, don't go in the middle. It's very aggravating.
And as most of you know, I hate spiders. Today there was an incident. Melanie spotted a spider in the van crawling up the ceiling. Daniel tried to kill it, but it fell right next to her. She started screaming out loud, and do you know what is funny? I took my entire body and pressed it against the side of the van. As Melanie is grabbing hold of my shirt and screaming her lungs out, my body is fully against the side hoping that the spider won't get any closer.
I got a couple phone calls that I didn't have the chance to receive. One from Jorge and one from this mysterious number that I don't have. Hmmmm.

the escapist
This is a pretty cool video game magazine. It's more mature than the crap they release into the crowd (Gamepro, Nintendo Power, etc.)
Here is another link. This is what is going to happen to Jorge's cat once he stops feeding it.

that was close
I was almost caught by the police..............the Stupidity Police.
Yes, that was a lame joke, but goddamn was I stupid today. I woke up 8:30, ate breakfast (some awesome peanut butter since the bread was toasted to perfection), played some Killer 7 (demented game), played some Counter Strike Source, ate this okay pizza (crust was dominated by cheddar or some american cheeze), slept for about 15 minutes, THEN started on my project. By then it was already 2:30pm. Talk about being a bum. Well, I am a bum and a really lazy one at that.
Class went by pretty fast today. I purposely skipped my group meeting so that I would work on my project that was due hours ago. It wouldn't matter if I went, because we are still clueless on what to do.
Dammit, why am I such a procrastinator? If I wasn't maybe I wouldn't be taking summer school. I always let the distractions around me get in the way. Videogames, downloading crapload upon crapload of movies and games, watching the movies I download, posting in forums and reading for hours. Basically doing everything except homework. I swear, this time, I FUCKING swear to not get into any distractions. No more thinking about women and how hot they look, no more browsing on videogames I don't plan to get, no more downloading pointless junk. NO MORE!
Yet, I seriously doubt that I will ever stop. It's like a freaking addiction. Procrastination is like a drug that is hard to let go. I don't like the rush, but I can't help myself from doing it. Dammit. I wish I could focus on the task at hand. DAMMIT!!!
I know that God can't help me. I find it pointless to see if God can help me. God can't help me if I'm supposed to make decisions on my own. I hate it when people tell me to do stuff. Do this, do that. I think, "FUCK YOU" and I do it. I know I have to stop on my own. I just need something that eases the pain, more like go into detox, but instead of drugs, its procrastination. I see so many successful people that don't procrastinate and they go own to accomplish great stuff. But for some reason I can't push myself in that direction. But this time, oh this time, it will be different. I just need to stop my fixation on videogames. Can you believe I spent $50 on subscriptions to video game sites? Just to view the sites without banners or ads, to get exclusive content that I don't need, and to just fucking read and watch video games. I know that I can't demolish video games all together. It is what makes me who I am, but on some days, I wonder what would life be like without videogames. Freedom I guess. I'm just so hypnotized by the remarkable gameplay or homebrew stuff. I just hate it when a new game comes by. My brain tells me, "You need to get that ASAP and play it, so that you can be one of the cool gamers that get everything right away." I play the game and skip homework. I beat the game yet I get nothing accomplished with school.
A big example of this when my friend got me hooked on Final Fantasy XI. I have no idea why I bought that game. Maybe I just wanted to socialize a bit. Maybe because it was the "it" thing to do back then. But goddamn, I spent so much money. I had to buy FFXI which was $100. I even had to buy a used Playstation 2 from Ebay (a wonderful store full of goodies and delights). And that was $90. So I spent close to $200 on stuff I don't need. I could have saved that money on something much better, something MUCH MUCH BETTER. I'm such a bastard when it comes to money. I buy so much pointless stuff online. I'm going to tally up my total from three years ago and see where my money went (movies, games, XXX -"Yes I watch porn. And fuck you if you criticize me on watching something that will inevitably happen in my lifetime or the next. Plus I'm not addicted to it like some people. I only watch it once in a while.").
I'm ranting. I know. I just hate it how things came to be you know? I wish I would have done things differently. Changed my outlook beginning from high school. Apply for scholarships, apply to dozens of colleges, register for honors classes. If I had done better in high school or wasn't a pussy all the time, then maybe things would be different. Maybe I would have a job. Maybe I would have graduated on my 4th year at college. Maybe I would give a damn when an opportunity passes me by.
Hmph..........I make it sound like I have the worst life period. And I don't. I just don't appreciate what I have in life. I can't make the best of a bad situation.
Just why didn't I pass ACS168 or speech class freshman year? GODDAMMIT!!!

GODDAMMIT!!!

yes
I finally beat Shadow Hearts: Covenant. That was one ridiculous last boss since it mostly used cheap magic on my party. Anyways, it was cool to see both endings.
Did you see that Family Guy episode on Sunday? Holy shit, that was a riot. I couldn't catch my breath during the vomiting scene. It was that hilarious.
As always, there is nothing to report other than video games and cartoons. I'm supposed to be working on my project, but I guess I can always cram later on. :) I found this awesome program called "WinAVI". This program lets me convert any file to DVD. It even does quicktime .mov files. I tested it out with a couple of E3 videos. Pretty sweet stuff.
My cousin Felice is a bit bored here, and shit, I don't blame her. My brother and I want to entertain her while she is here, but I'm just out of ideas. I want to film the movie asap, but I have to wait for my brother to write the script. I hope she gets those papers straightened out right away so that she can go back. I hate seeing her so bored (like me).

this is bad
I was supposed to do homework, but instead I took a nap. Man, I AM STUPID.
Anyways, my cousin Felice arrived today. When we took her to her mom, lunch was ready. Carbonara and California Pizza Kitchen pizza. Ummm, ummm, good. It's pretty cool that she has an ipod. I saw my brother eyeballing it the entire time. It's like the ring from the Lord of the Rings trilogy. He just couldn't stop looking at it.
Carbonara and pizza. Oh yeah. Quiznos!!!!

oh yeah!!
I finally got this damn exploit to work. Fuck, I made so many coasters. I wish my ps2 would read re-writable cds. The exploit doesn't work on my ps2 since its modded. It does work on my Jorge's ps2. At least I know now that it works.
I'm just bored at the moment. I moved my clock further away from my bed, so that when I turn off my alarms, I'll get up from my bed. I want to wake up around 7-8am. It's all conditioning so it will take a while. I need to do some exercises while I'm at it because I think that is why my back was hurting at college. I'm getting fat people. I was 209lbs. when I came here a month ago. Now I'm a whopping 223lbs. Yes, you can say "GODDAMN!!" Too much fast food and soda I guess.
Can you believe that when Daniel and I were about to leave the house, my dad ordered us to come back by 12am? Jeez, he treats us like we are 16 and we are almost 21!!! We never went out when we were in high school. How the hell are we supposed to see the world and experiment stuff? Online?
Look at Daniel. He stays up until 4 in the morning just browsing audiophile forums. If there was no internet in our house, then Daniel would definitely lose the weight, I would stop downloading ridiculous files, I would definitely start homework earlier, and our lives would be better.
See what kills me at college that I hate to admit is that I'm bored. Add to the fact that we have blazing internet at the dorm room and you've got a dangerous combination. So there goes my grades and social life. Thinking back on it now, I'm such a bum. I always said I was doing homework to my friend, but in reality, I wasn't doing jack shit.
I really want to change. I do. I already started by stopping engaging in illegal activities. Now its to do homework as early as possible. I want to be the guy I used to be. Where is straight A Christian? I have to find him by throwing away loads of garbage. I have to stop thinking about you know what. It's like its going to happen to me. The probability of me doing what-cannot-be-said is next to nil. I know it. I'm just set on a different path. A path that I have to find right now.
Of course, if you know me, you know that all I just said recently is bullshit. Like that is ever going to happen. Shit, can it?

the horror
I hate barbecuing, I HATE IT!!!
That smoke smell attaches all over my body. It's like smoking cigarettes, but with charcoal instead. Sure I didn't cook today, but that smell was everywhere on the patio. Today we ate outside for a change. I ate a really old hamburger, carbonara which didn't taste right (spoiled maybe by Quizno's amazing Chicken Carbonara sub), and drank it with smooth tasting Heineken. For a while, I had gas in my stomach. At first, I thought it was the beer, but then I thought it was the ancient hamburger. I dunno. Maybe it was a mixture of both.
Anyways, another boring day since there was no Family Guy or American Dad. They showed The Lost World. I don't know why. It really don't fit into the July 4 weekend. It's a good movie, its just out of place.

bored yet again
I don't know why I'm bored. I should be starting to work on the movie. I played a bit of Covenant so that is it of gaming for today. As much as I wanted to play Tenchu again, I just went upstairs and played more Half Life 2. I would love to imagine if I had a 7800 GTX running in a SLI configuration. Half-Life 2 would be playing over 60 fps at 1280x1024 with 4xAF with DX9 settings all maxed out. That would be cool. But I guess a 9200 AiW card is just enough to see DX8 effects in action.
I must really start on that movie. Damn, I'm such a procrastinator. At least I watched "The Entity" from season 5 of South Park. Fucking hilarious.

whew
So it was just the muffler. Just as I suspected. That is a good thing though. If it was anything else, then that would absolutely suck. So yeah, the fast food revolution is still here to stay at least for the time that I still have money in my pocket.
Oh yeah, the movie. My brother and I just drastically changed the idea. Instead of making a way too complex action movie. We decided to make a movie about fast food addiction like Requiem for a Dream, but instead of drugs, we are going to do fast food. It'll be pretty fun to make.
As for gaming, I tried to beat Crisis Zone with a controller, but it just doesn't work. My reaction time is slowed down just because I'm using the controller instead of a light gun. I'm trying to figure out what other game I can play along with Covenant. I look at Manhunt and Shinobi and my brain tells me "fuck that shit, those games are hard." My other games consist of mainly RPGs. I have Star Ocean, Suikoden III, and The Third Age to finish. Oh man, this will be an intense summer for gaming.

stat test
I really screwed up on the statistics test I just took. I could have got three questions correct if I wasn't working with my entire brain.
Damn brain.
It sucks with Daniel not using his car. Damn, looks like no more Culvers/White Castle/McDonalds for us.

war of the worlds
This is one frightening movie.
What is even more scary is the ending. That was just horrible. Not everything has to be happy.
But watch it, the entire movie up til the end is just remarkable and exciting.

i'm an asshole
I do admit that I've been an asshole ever seen I came back from college. I hate doing chores and I complain about doing them, but the thing is they do not take very long to do. So I am an asshole. I don't know why I became like this. It's not like I'm going to do anything special on that specific point in time.
Today was just bad. I didn't admit it, but I just said "Yes" when my group members said if it was okay to meet 4pm today. I didn't say that that is a bad time or that cannot work out. What can I do? They're three girls. It's like I'm hypnotized by them or something. "No" removes itself from my vocabulary when they ask me something.
Then I asked Daniel to bring me to McDonalds because there wouldn't be anytime to go back home. See, the thing is that I hate going to fast food day after day.........but lately I can't help myself. It's so fucking good. We went to Culver's yesterday and fuck.........that deluxe butterburger is orgasmically delicious. Days before that we ordered from McDonalds. At that time I ordered two double cheeseburgers. I hate that goddamn dollar menu. It's just so cheap and addicting.
This leads to another point on why I'm an asshole. I always let Daniel buy the food. Aren't I an ass? He makes money for doing close to nothing. It's a pretty sweet deal.
Anyways, I'm an ass, McDonalds and Culvers are fucking delicious, and girls, well, they're beautiful as always. Jeez, I sound like that nerd on Mtv's Made. I hope I don't turn out like that.

filipino dad
My dad truly hit me below the belt during dinner today. My mom was discussing a book, then I said, "Nah, I'll just read Angels and Demons." Then mama said, "Maybe that is why you are losing your faith." Or something like that. Then my dad spurted, "See, Wency, the problem with you is that you ignore me when I tell you to pray to God. God will not help you if you don't pray. What were your grades?" I said B's and C's. "What was your C in?" I laughed a bit and said, "Meaning and Religious Belief." Then I just burst out laughing.
Daniel then said, "You know what just happened can't be written by anyone else." Or something like that. I swear, my life is pure comedy.
Mama, Daniel, and I watched the president of the Philippines apologize to the country about her recent scandal.
"I"
"AM"
"SORRY."
LOL. You make me laugh woman. Her situation is playing out just like the movie Election. She was caught sneaking a peek at the election totals, and now she is paying for her stupidity. Good job GMA (Giant Mega Asshole.)

beat streak
No, I don't mean "beating the stick streak". I mean that I'm on a game beating streak. I recently finished Destroy All Humans and Psychonauts.
Destroy All Humans, eh, was an okay game. The only thing fun in this game was blowing shit up and killing people. The action missions were fantastic, but the other portions of the game like stealth missions and minigames were just so boring.
As for Psychonauts, this is one awesome game. I can't believe that this was scrapped, but was later picked up by Majesco. I forgot the company that ditched it, but shame on them for giving up on a great title. This game comes from the mind of Tim Schafer, creator of Full Throttle and other great PC titles. The humor is right on (even though it slowly dies towards the end), the level design is fantastic, the characters are memorable; the entire game is fun to play.

i'm still here
I'm still here folks. Just been busy with being bored, homework, and video games. I went crazy at Daniel today because he kept on annoying me. I dunno why, but sometimes he just does. I hope I don't get psorasis now. I just blew up like a pressurized can of compressed gases. Anyways, whatever I said, it came out and I'm sort of relieved. I just hate all the bickering going on lately. One of the reasons why I enjoyed being away from here. It's all drama here. Blah blah here, blah blah there. Shit, our family of both Tayag and Pastor be a sitcom on television. I couldn't stop laughing when I taught of this scene with my grandmother. Everytime she would do something stupid or retarded (I'm sorry, but she is getting there), the audience would shout out "Lo-la!". I'm laughing right now as I think about it.
As for gaming news, I recently beat European Assault. It is a pretty intense game. Too bad I don't have the balls to pay full price for any of the games I get.
As for movies, well, I saw Batman Begins. It is an awesome movie. The characters were solid, the story was good; the entire movie was well made.
I even started reading Angels and Demons. I already read 20 pages in 10-15 minutes just last night. I don't know why I can't read textbooks that fast especially when the textbooks are shorter since they contain pictures and graphs. Maybe if they contained a small pornographic image of a woman spreading her legs on every page, that would keep my interest. lol. Just kidding. It would be better if it was sort of like a flip book with the woman spreading her legs and saying "I want you." Now that would be something.
See, as you can currently read, I'm bored out of my mind. The only thing that pops in my head is sex (yet I haven't sampled this so called delight), video games, being caught by the FBI anti-piracy squad, and downloading.
See you guys later.

weird dreams
Please disregard that stuff about Cheryl. I don't know what the hell I was thinking when I typed that post up. If that shit didn't happen, then I wouldn't turn out this way. I wouldn't want this life to be any different (with the exception that I wish I had money).
So yeah, nice picture huh? (That's my brother and uncle in the picture by the way). I never held so much cash in my life. I most I had ever carried was $1000 and god knows where that went. Fucking freshman year.
Sorry about the lack of posts. There is not a lot of interesting things to say. I'm currently subscribed to Netflix. I already watched a shitload of movies. I'm thinking of watching Trainspotting later tonight. My brother recommended that movie. I hope its good.
If I think of something to say, I'll be sure to blog about it.
Anyways, later readers.

okay past couple of days
My Tito Luis (Uncle Luis for you Americans) arrived yesterday. He's pretty cool in terms of not exploding all the time. I wish I had as much money as him. I don't want as much kids, shit only one is enough, but the money is good. I just like the fact that the money is there.
I've just been watching movies lately. Nothing too exciting in my life. No sex, no drugs, no nothing. I'm one of those boring people, those bums. But I guess that rules in my favor. I couldn't imagine my life if I was a sex or drug addict. Sex addict? Yeah right. Video games is more like it. But it is kinda weird. I had a dream in which instead of saying no to Cheryl, I said yes. I wonder. If I did go out with her, would my life be any different? As I think back on that moment, I wonder why the hell I said no in the first place. Maybe I was scared. I was practically shocked to have a note carefully written to me. I can remember that moment as if it was just yesterday. Even though my memory is quite poor, I can never forget that specific moment in my life. Dammit, I should have gone out with her. Cheryl, where ever you are, I am truly sorry or should I say regretful that I didn't go on a date with you. Fuck am I stupid.
Anyways, the movie is still a go. Pre-production should start soon.

just being lazy (again)
It's been a lazy and boring three weeks. I've been doing nothing except take naps, play video games, or watch movies. It is a good thing that I will be going to school next week.
I was hoping to film a movie, but it might not go through since JORGE is working real hard and his schedule isn't too good to film. He will be also doing the sound which is major work on a film and his schedule conflicts with that. Plus, him helping won't be beneficiary to him at all. It's just for fun and I don't want to bother him especially when he needs the rest.
After watching the trailer for "Sigaw", I'm thinking of doing a horror movie. It will take the load off my friend since I will be handling the camera all the time.
Hey Felice, I know you dread coming here (and I don't blame you :)), but would you consider playing a character in a movie if I ever make one? At least, your time here won't be that boring. Anyways, Daniel and I, hopefully, will get the chance to hang out with you.........we have a car now (knock on wood). Quiznos, Burger King, McDonalds, Pizza Hut are just minutes away.........you miss Quiznos don't you (lol)?
Anyways, goodbye my fellow readers. See you later.
