new games and upcoming games

This will be a video game post, so if you don't like video games, stay away, lol. Well, stay a bit. I'll talk about the piece of shit film that is Saw IV.

But before that, I just have to say: Daniel has some balls. He finally unleashed the secret of going to the Philippines to our dad. I thought it was funny to watch him because he kept on clearing his throat. You can hear that he was nervous as hell because his voice was shivering, lol. He even added so many lies, I couldn't keep up. He said that the school paid for it directly which was funny because he asked our mom, "What time will I leave?". He even added that he has to do a weekly report. Retarded. I didn't know why he added that. But I have to say that he should really do a thesis there as publish it with the help with his teachers, "How to help a underdeveloped country with sound production" or some stupid shit like that. What I hated about the discussion was my dad's intention of putting Daniel at the Tayag house in the Philippines. Fuck that shit. He has no one to hang out with there. Our Tayag cousins in the Philippines, I do not mean offend you, are boring as hell. They don't talk to us as if we were total strangers. It's like we deal marijuana or crack cocaine or something. It's almost as if we are going to influence them in a bad way. "Yo, Leo. Want to get a prostitute? You can take her from behind while I sniff cocaine off her back while she sucks my cock at the front." LOL. We are not like that at all. I swear that my aunt is telling lies about us. Why would they act like that around us? There can't be any other explanation.

Anyways, let's move on to Saw IV.

Horrible film. Not scary nor any good plot wise. I hated the acting and the plot devices within the movie. It's like, "Oh, let's have a relation to the previous movie. Yes, that will fill in the void." Bullshit. I hate how EVERY single Saw movie ends with a door closing and the words, "Game Over" (well maybe not Saw III, or did it have it?). Don't watch this trash. Watch some of the early Japanese horror filcks. I recommend Cure. Remarkable psychological film.

Okay, it's video game time. Now you can go. I just bought Folklore (which I haven't played yet), just got Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction (will buy this), and will get Guitar Hero 3 for the PS2. Can't wait for Guitar Hero 3 since it has a great song list compared to Guitar Hero 2.

I also pre-ordered the following items:

  • Assassin's Creed Limited Edition
  • Mass Effect
  • Silent Hill Origins
  • Jeanne D'Arc
  • Crysis
  • Stranglehold Collector's Edition
  • Super Mario Galaxy
  • Blade Runner Blu-Ray

Yeah, splurging to the the fucking maximum. It's only going to cost me half a paycheck so it isn't that bad. The only thing is that I can slurge, but only before the end of 2007. I need to pay for school, so the spending has to stop there. Probably then, I can finish all the games, lol.

On the PC, I've been playing Crysis. It's a bit disappointing since I couldn't put the settings on High even after buying a great video card. However, the gameplay is fantastic. You can play predator-like and kill the enemies one by one. It's very cool. Or you can run and gun as usual which is cool too. The main draw to this game is the suit which you can enable several powers. Maximum Strength, Maximum Speed, Cloak, and Maximum Armor. All of which have their own uses. It's going to be a great game and which is why I pre-ordered it.

Anyways, later.

30 Days of Night

Bring your pillows and pajamas because this movie is painfully and disappointingly boring. There is nothing new with the vampires here. Hell, I even thought of watching Blade 2 later when I was watching this movie. Sure, you get some sweet kill sequences, but the pacing was just so piss poor.

I had such good hopes for this film. I thought it would have a "new take" on vampires. But it didn't.

son of a bitch

I just looked at Amazon's Gold Box and just found out that I could have gotten the Legendary Edition for $110 and not the outrageous price I paid for (which I won't say since it was an absurd price).

And what the fuck is wrong with people these days? Every single time I shake stranger's hands at church, they look somewhere else as if I have a monstrosity on my face. Is there something wrong with my head? Do I have a third eye? A "Fuck You" sign? Jesus Christ.

Nothing else to report. Later.

I think I can stop now

Okay. I can finally let go of thinking of buying that really expensive keyboard and just bought a PSP instead. It was the Star Wars edition. Why did I buy that version? Mainly because it was a beautiful white ceramic color. I was so shocked by how light the new PSP was. Major difference. And it is a bit smaller height-wise since it doesn't fit snugly into my playgear pocket. I was a bit disappointed because the Daxter pack has a memory card, Daxter, and a Family Guy UMD. But, it is a silver color and I prefer white.

I think I can finally stop buying really expensive stuff now. I can rely on Gamefly for my next-gen games, and just buy cheap PSP games.

I've been also playing Gears of War for the 360. Amazing game. The single player portion is so much better than Halo 3. The suspense and tension is just done so well here. But the tactics in Halo 3 is better (on higher difficulties). Graphics are a hit and miss. The textures are fantastic, but the self-shadowing is so piss poor. There are also some LOD issues with the textures. It may be due to the developers trying to cut down load times.

Movie-wise, I've been watching here and there. I recently watched Surf's Up and 3:10 To Yuma. Both fantastic movies. I really liked 3:10 To Yuma because Russel Crowe's character is unrelenting and unmerciful. I loves how if he wants to kill someone, he just does it. As for Surf's Up, it was so much better than the craptacular Happy Feet. It didn't have that realistic feeling and there wasn't any of that crappy singing and dancing.

TV show-wise, I've been watching too many shows. And it is all my brother's fault. He got me addicted to Prison Break, House, and Entourage. Add to that Heroes, Kitchen Nightmares, and South Park.

Goddammit.

dammit....why having a credit card is like having a devil on your shoulder

I was tempted AGAIN into buying something completely useless. Remember that Logitech Dinovo Edge keyboard I talked about in the last post? I was about to buy it again because now there is a $30 rebate thus putting the keyboard at $140. What a bargain, am I right? Well, it is not when I have loan payments coming up. This is the worst season ever. Xbox 360 games, PS3 games, PSP games, PC games........fucking shit why the fuck did everything have to be released in the fall of 2007? SHIT!

pop tarts

You didn't ask at all. You ate the last one. Goddamn you!!! Buy me a goddamn chicken crisp!

getting really sleepy for some reason

I don't know why it is happening, but I've been getting some minor headaches and getting really sleepy every day. It might be linked to work or it could be due to some weight loss. I've lost 20 lbs in three weeks. Of course, I was a bit overweight at 250lbs when I got out of school so losing weight shouldn't be that bad. Anyways, my headaches disappear when I eat fast food. Weird huh?

Also, I've been getting some major diarrhea. I have no idea what is causing it. Smores Pop Tarts? Skim milk? Soda? Gatorade? I have no clue at all. But I have some suspicion that it was Tita Perla's food. Goddamn, why does she have to make some instant creation shit out of the remaining food from her fridge? Buy some new food dammit.

I'm buying too many things I guess. I bought a HDMI cable for the 360 just for $6 and I just pre-ordered Crysis, Orange Box, and Stranglehold. I was about to buy this sweet Logitech diNovo Edge keyboard, but then my other half told me that it was just unnecessary. And the other half was right. Why do I need a slick and wonderfully designed bluetooth keyboard when I have a perfectly good one?

As for video game news, I beat Halo 3 in two days. Lame ass campaign. Nothing spectacular at all. Just your run of the mill FPS. Of course, put the game on legendary difficulty and it is totally different than playing on normal. It takes me from 1-2 hours just to complete one level. It's just insane.

Nothing much on the PS3 end. I got my ass handed to me on Ninja Gaiden Sigma that I had to resort to the easy difficulty. Seriously that game is just too hard. I beat DMC3 on Hard and that was a piece of cake since Dante has so many moves and Ryu just sucks shit compared to many of his enemies.

Yeah, I'm boring you. I'm doing to drink now. Later. Rest in peace Furby. You weren't friendly, but goddamn I loved your fur.
