I got a chance to watch this disaster. I thought Alien Vs. Predator was bad, but this movie is even worse. It just goes off in so many directions that it starts to lose focus. In the beginning of the movie, there is this fight scene which I could not understand why there was one. He was going against a super natural human of some sort. Anyways, the there is a plot with a group of orphans being experimented on. The problem with this is that the movie doesn't flow with this one as it just pushes it aside. The orphans just get killed by the "paranormal" group. End of orphan plot ends there. Nothing special about them. I was seriously laughing because it just doesn't make any sense when a paranormal group called 713 (why 713? I have no idea) uses guns to extinguish the evil beings. There was this one scene where the bad guy was injecting himself with the blood of one of those things, but it made no sense as it gave him nothing special. He was killed instantly by a thrown knife. Oh yeah, those things. The movie made no explanation of what those things were. They are just the evil "xenos". It was confusing because 713's priority is to hunt these things down. The question is how do they get out? There was also this scene out on a boat. They lifted up a huge box made of gold, but it looked like it was made by a high school artist (every artifact looked like they did). When they opened the box, the crew was attacked by some unknown force. Yet when one of the characters comes out of hiding, nothing is to be found and the entire crew is dead. It makes no sense. There was another laughable scene when you have this horribly made CG sequence with the actors. This scene was just awful to look at. What makes matters worse is that there is a sex scene. What is funny is that a couple of scenes later, you see the two talking to each other like the sex never happened. LOL. There was another stupid scene where one of the squad tries to find another squad member. He sees her legs shaking. He then notices that her head has been split open and her brain guts are spewing out. Now, as biology has told me, the body can't operate without the brain. Yet how can a body still breathe when the brain is obliterated? Then the story changes to that 713 has been behind the entire thing which makes no sense of course because the movie had no evidence to back it up. Another thing about those beings is that they just come out from nowhere. Suddenly there would be dozens of them coming out from nowhere. Even the ending is horrible. The viewer is treated to a "city evacuated" message on the screen. Yet the main character explains that this might be a recreation of what happened thousands of years ago when all the people vanished. Which, of course, makes no sense because the viewer has no idea what is going on.
How can anyone have the balls to release this piece of garbage? I hope Uwe Boll never makes another video game movie. I also hope that the screenwriters who wrote this piece of crap kill themselves for eating their own shit in coming up with an idea like this. I bet I could write a better screenplay, something along the lines of atmospheric horror and not an action film. The video game was not like this at all. Putting that "based on the atari video game" is bullshit. The only thing they took from the video game was the name. That is it.
