Sorry there hasn't been a steady flow of blog posts from me. Nothing really outstanding or explosive is happening. Why am I blogging now? Because I think I am getting ridiculously retarded by reading forum posts with word misspellings and grammar mistakes. Hell, I just spelled grammar, "grammer", before noticing it. I am getting dumber.
I've just been watching movies and playing games as normal. I watched American Gangster last Friday and it sure was a great film. It's Scarface with a black person. Seriously. But what I like is that Denzel's character doesn't want to stand out and grab attention unlike Tony. He's modest and it is an interesting take on a mobster.
I was quite pissed that my dad bought Ratatouille. I bought it really cheap with no tax and free shipping. But later during the week, I saw that my dad bought it the day before. He barely buys Blu-Ray movies so it was weird to see him buy three Blu-Ray movies in a week. Anyways, I don't want to go through the process of returning it. Getting an RMA, buying another package to send it back, paying for postage......it's very frustrating (which is why it is partly convenient to buy from a retail store). I'm just going to sell on eBay. I'll take a minor loss, but hey, whatever gets a bit back. It's a shame since that was half of a game I could have bought.
As for video games, I just finished Syphon Filter: Logan's Shadow and Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction. Both remarkable games. The cons of each game are as follows:
- Logan's Shadow has a lame final gameplay section
- Ratchet and Clank is basically the same game with prettier graphics
Other than that, I recommend both games. I will be getting Assassin's Creed and Mario Galaxy (from Gamefly) next week. I have the Simpsons Game for the 360 at the moment and it's very funny. Some jokes fall flat like the current seasons of the show but some are pretty hilarious. I'm also trying to hack away at my gaming backlog which consists of RPGs and games I don't know why I got. First game on the list: Family Guy. It's a good game, but the gameplay segments are just pure garbage. I think it would be better suited if Family Guy was more of a WarioWare type of game, then it would be excellent.
Anyways, I'm off to play and finish the Simpsons this weekend. Jade Raymond. Kristen Bell. Pure hotness.
