I started to play this little gem a couple of days ago. This game is very addicting. I'm still awkward to the controls since I've been only getting 50% success rate on Normal on certain songs. I've been getting 90-100% on slow songs though even on Normal.
This game is just as addicting as DDR. I have no idea why there is rivalry between these two games. Sure there is a gameplay element to Frequency, but its just implemented differently in DDR. The only thing is Frequency is that when you mess up, you mess up. At least with DDR, when you miss a step, its not a big deal. In Freq, it just messes up your beat.

Yeah you're right. In Freq, you are making music. But yeah, I can't seem to use the face buttons. I'm so used to playing with the shoulder buttons.
I just hate it when I mess up.
Acidic Frog is just another Frequency fanboy. DDR rules!
I wouldn't say its better. It's in the same league. The only downside to Frequency is that the song selection is low. 25 songs? Most of the songs I do like. I just hate the hip hop. If they remove the hip hop, then the game will be set.
Both games are great. You strive to become better and more accurate.
The main thing I do not like in Frequency is that there is no practice mode. It's hard to learn a song when the only thing you can do is play the song over and over again.
It's easy to pass a song, but its hard to actually score.
