bi-yearly update

As you probably know, my brother is basking in the Philippine sun. And I'm jealous. Of course, I did have the choice of saving up the money and bought myself a ticket. Hell, if I added it up correctly, I should have several thousand by now, but I don't. I already stopped it with the expenses especially with buying new video games. I already finished my second playthrough with Mass Effect and I expect 3-4 more playthroughs. Yeah, enough with the video game talk. I know it bores you. Summary: I spend too much on video games. I could have gone to the Philippines, but I don't deserve it since I'm a total failure. It is a bit embarassing to go there four years later to tell them that I did not graduate nor did I get a awesome well paying job. What can I tell my cousins? "Yeah, I'm a goddamn bum now." No thank you. I can't even begin to think what they'll say.

To ease the pain of Daniel's vacation (yeah fucking right, lol, like I'm hurting), several things happened as soon as he left. It's video games again, but it is movie related. PS3 firmware 2.10 was released. This is what 2.0 should have been. Blu-Ray's profile has been updated to 1.1 and you can now watch Divx/WMV files on the PS3. Yeah, it's pretty awesome watching low resolution porn upscaled to 1080p. I'm currently watching "Once" on my PSP through remote play from the PS3.

I even got Blade Runner on Blu-Ray. It was cool of Amazon to give me one-day shipping due to delivery problems on their end. My God, my god. That film looks so fucking good. It looks like a movie made today. I'm goddamn serious. They did a splendid job. I wish they increased the bitrate to minimize compression. I know VC-1 does a good job a low bitrates, but compression is still compression.

To top things off, I got my driver's license today. I was so fucking nervous. Before the driving test, I had to drive the minivan around to the back. I was supposed to go through the two stop signs and go around. But instead, I went through one and went under the telephone/power lines. I was so humiliated. The driving test itself was a piece of cake. Anyways, I won't have to do this anymore. And I registered to vote. I don't want some jackass in the White House for another four years. We need to get out of this war. Look at what is happening to America's economy. Going to war didn't solve our oil problems. Eh, that is an issue for another day.

Where the hell is the Sunshine soundtrack?
